Xbox 360 thread - 3.3

It was just like the first Buffy game everyone loved (same engine and gameplay). Why so much love for that and not for Indy?
Also, it has a Metacritic score of 73/100, hardly worst of last gen, though still under-rated.

I posted a thread about it way back. It had quite possibly the worst controls on the xbox. The graphics were solid, the puzzles were solid, but after spending hours falling off ledges from wonky control mechanics I gave up. I think I made it 3-4 levels in before the frustration got the better of me. I shouldn't have to fight a game to have the character do what I want/need.

I posted previously but I'll recap. I was playing through easy, with no challenge until level 10-4. I had 24 lives and about 8 million points. I died three times and after the third, the game treated it as if it was my last life. It reset my score to 0 and made me start over at 10-1. Major frustrating. *NOTE* This was in the middle of a game, not an instance of the game not seeing the hard drive and my save... I died and everything was gone.
I gave the game a rest for a few days and went back to it last night to give it a go. I proceeded to make it to 10-4 again only to be greeted with a win/loss record of 0/579. I died again so I could have a camera ready to snap the photo(hence the 580, not 579). After a couple of tries I did beat that level last night, but no glitch last night.
Here is a link to the screenshot of the glitch:

Anyone else having any issues?

There should be a sequel on the 360 - if it just had Buffy and Faith, I'd be in. Call it "Slayers" or something. And do whatever they need to do to make it play exactly like the first one. I doubt it would sell though, the first one dropped in price like a stone.

You will, however, lose all saves and DLC stored on the HD, unless you're not trading it in and just keeping it. Most people are either planning on keeping their HD, or not trading it in until after they transfer things over.

They will let you trade in the 360 for that exclusive deal to get the elite and NOT give them your Hard Drive? Will they still cosider the trade in a "premimum" trade or will they only give you credit for a core system?

you did not purchase the add-on sets? Are they do-able without the new
characters? If not shouldn't they be something that's added to your list only
if you do make the additional purchase?

I saw 2 Elites at Walmart Saturday morning. I wonder how many were shipped to them?

And I'm pretty sure you will need to trade in the 20GB HDD with the premium system, which is why they're only giving you the higher rate after you bought the Elite; so you have time to transfer your files to the new system.

Personally, I think it's bunk myself. But with less than 10 systems coming my way, I'll be hearing less than 10 complaints. I think the company is banking on this.

To hell with that. I'll stick with selling mine online if I go down that route
The transfer makes no sense, since a transfer cable won't be included with the Elite - just with the seperately-sold HD.

Credit that you can't use on an Elite since you already have one.
I'm pretty sure I can land $300 by selling my 360 online, so forget that.

BioWare's much-anticipated Xbox 360 RPG Mass Effect has finally been pencilled in for release this September, months after the June/July arrival date previously expected.
The news comes from an official Microsoft event this morning, though no more details have been offered.
The September release puts Mass Effect in head-to-head competition with fellow first-party RPG Blue Dragon, which is also released that month. This might seem silly to you budding industry analysts, but it's probably just as beneficial for Microsoft to avoid the infamous Summer drought.
BioWare's latest picked up one of the first CVG Most Wanted awards this weekend, and rightly so - because we're quite literally counting the days until its arrival (or at least we are now that we have a date to count down to).

BioWare has denied that a release date has been set yet, and says the September date is just speculation.
I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to allow the game to be done right ... but man, do I want to play this game now!

It looks like it will be another 2 arcades games this week Eets: Chowdown and Pinball FX both will be 800 points. I really hope Pinball does not let me down like 3d Ultra MiniGolf did. It also looks like for those with the camera Pinball will support it for flipper controls.
