The only thing the hard drive on the 360 is going to be used for is game/profile saves and the occasional download that probably won't stay on it for long.
If I didn't have this connectivity to my computer, I would have certainly waited for the Elite with the larger hard drive. The color of the machine makes no difference to me.

I've also found that if I enable library sharing in Media Player (not media center) I can access everything on the computer from the media tab without opening up Media Center, provided you have Media Player set up to look for the appropriate media types. It's basically the same as having everything stored locally but I'm not eating up space on the 360. I haven't had mine very long so you may be correct with the convenience factor but my computer usually runs 24X7 anyway.

I still think they're making a huge mistake by not including the transfer cable with the Elite. I'd upgrade if it weren't for that.

Rumors are saying that we might be getting two XBLA games this week. Gyruss @ 400 points and 3D Ultra Minigolf @ 800 points.
While I'm not really interested in either of these, I think this is a step in the right direction if they can keep it up. Release a retro game and a newer game the same week. That way people aren't up in arms about weeks and weeks of Frogger, Paperboy and Root Beer Tapper.
They really seem to have gotten their act together since Alien Hominid dropped. I've bought almost every game since then, with the exception of Turtles (just way too cheap of a game) and Worms (will probably grab this soon).

Cool. I might be down for some mini-golf.
Speaking of Worms, I added some info about the update and DLC in the Worms thread.

Terrible controls, DS-level graphics, excruciatingly lame "finishing moves". My wife asked "Who knew Shrek was so violent?" and she had a point : the game really doesn't fit the character at all. Even my 5 yr old daughter thought the demo was absurdly short.

I share my files using WMP11, however, my PC always comes to a crawl when I'm sharing ALL my music. I have probably 200GB music on a external HDD. I have my sharing disabled now, since it just bogs down my PC. Any suggestions? I have a somewhat older PC, but it does have 1GIG Ram.
I've been meaning to upgrade my PC, but money is a factor these days.

It seems they got there act together when the guy over Xbox arcade left.

Not that I'm defending the guy, but no one will ever know except for him and MS.

I got my other information from another forum that listed a couple sites that had confirmation, but since then, those articles have been pulled.
I might be down for some pinball, depending on the price (I'm guessing 800, which I don't think I'll bite at), and how it plays, of course.

Shagrath the rumors you heard were correct, I just saw on the Gamerscore blog that Gyruss and MiniGolf are indeed this weeks games. I was hoping for pinball but hopefully golf will be fun. I like that you can play it on live.

Gyruss was my bitch back on the Atari 400. I'll probably pass on it though. That is a game that begs for an arcade stick.

I realize Wii and PS3(?)have the Turbo Graphix games but if the arcade could snap up the pinball games from that system I'd buy'em.
