I've been trying to register for what seems like hours and haven't a bit of luck.

still no luck even logging in here :( what a pisser!

I figured out the trick to registering, but I still can't login to the rewards page under my account info.

Step 1: Log out of your Xbox.com account.

Step 2: Go to www.xbox.com/rewards

Step 3: Click the sign in button on the left.

Step 4: Instead of logging in, click the registration button on the left.

Step 5: The next screen you should see will have all your account details already punched in. Click the accept terms box at the bottom and accept.

I have no idea if the account is actually ready to go though.

Yeah, I am now registered supposedly in the Xbox rewards program but I am trying to now be actually signed in at the rewards page so that I can JOIN the contest. What a clusterfuck!

Clicking the sign-in button on the left only takes me right to a blank page that tries to login and just sits there. I even tried logging into my MS passport through MS directly and it doesn't stay when I go to the Xbox site.

well I got to the "agree to terms" button, I click and the page error outs on me. Damn. So close.

any tips? or did you just go the normal route?

edit to add: not sure how I got lucky. Had like 3 or 4 windows open trying to get through, suddenly it just worked for me. There's a link on the registration successful page to "Return to My Xbox Rewards" but that keeps timing out now.

Actually, I tried out Flay's suggestion rather than refreshing every now and then. So I would give that a try if you're having no luck and give thanks to him if you get through.

When you get to the submit confirmation page, just let it load, it takes awhile but it'll happen.

well sonufabitch... I go though all this and finally get it to load and despite the error page looks like it went through. Yea! Time to get some games in. :)

I think I'm giving up for tonight .. I'll try in the morning. This is regoddamndiculous!

FYI, finishing registration means you are good to go. I finally got the regular page to load up. I can't seem to get the rewards portion to load though.

Not to be picky Flay, but you are saying as long as I go through just the registration page in your instructions(the one that has your contact info,etc.) that we are in the contest already. That we do not have to worry about clicking on the Join now button that appears on the rewards page but that we cannot since on that page we are not signed in. Correct?

ok .. I got through (including the Old Spice register screen) .. now to set NBA 2k7 to play itself while I got to sleep :)

Looks like I'm not the only one who can't get through. God forbid they get one of these things right...first Halo 3, and now this.
