Quick question all.

My nephew has his 360 nowhere near their cable modem, but has several people with unsecured wireless in his apartment building.

Can I get him one of those $20 wireless cards mentioned earlier and have it work, or do you need to do any work on the PC end of the connection (which won't be possible in this case obviously)?

Forgive my ignorance, but I've never played with a wireless network.

I want him to have Chain Chomps attached to his hands like Kratos.
He should also Hulk jump and have freeze breath if the game is to have any fun in it at all.

technically, you should be able to pick up their connection with a 360 adapter, provided it works with the wireless router.

If you can't tell how different the games are despite being loosely grouped together in a genre, and how different that means the characters need to move and react, well then I don't hold much hope for you.

with that mentality, how could anyone compare Halo 2 versus Gears of War?

Any game that forces me to die 10 times each level to find out where the camera angle shifts directions should be banished into nothingness.

I hate you, Sonic.

about the router, I would go directly to Linksys's website and download the newest installation program. It will probably require an update as well
How do I go about installing Linksys' newest installation program and update? I didnt see that option on their website.

http://www.linksysfix.com/check/Home...tm?callerID=WS

you want to click on "EasyLink Connect"

it walks you through the process. Make sure you have all that information (IP, subnet mask, DNS servers, the whole 9)

I bought it there right before the price drop. From my understanding Costco does not really offer "price protection" unless you return and rebuy...is that not correct?

I just went in with my receipt only, they did the return/rebuy, gave me my $25, and I was out the door in 4 minutes.

Did they let you keep (exchange) your hard drive?

I just can't understand the idea of them sending back a perfectly fine working product. Wouldn't it be easier for them to just give the $25..

He only took the receipt in, not the 360. They did the return/rebuy just on that.

I rented that game the other week. Wow, was it a horrible game experience.

I tried the first level a few times and after dying each time, I put the game back in its case and never touched it again. Giving that game a 1 out of 10 would be too good for it.

Wow. I know you have Live, didn't you d/l the demo? 10 minutes with that sealed the deal for me. That game won't ever come near my drive.

I didn't bother with the demo and rented the game for free with another game. Plus, the demo of some games doesn't do it justice, so I usually will rent if I am in the least bit interested.

The demo was indeed horrible.

The demo for RobotBlitz though looks pretty cool. I'm only worried because i tried to do the puzzle in the room with the prisms and couldn't even figure out how to activate any kind of laser or light or something. I think i just suck at platformers. My inability to solve the puzzle bummed me out too. The weapon that is shown you that links two things together and pulls the lighter one looked really cool.

That laser one was indeed hard, but pretty cool. You have to look around in other places. It took me some time.

The weapon that links items together is cool. I'm not sure if I am going to buy the game. It was fun, and I like puzzle type games. But 1200 is a bit steep. I'm still debating on it though.

Not sure if anyone is playing them anymore, but there were d/l's available on the Marketplace for Madden 07 and NCAA 07. They were offering throwback uniforms for every NFL team and the majority of NCAA teams.

Agreed, but when the play mechanics are so horrible that you can't even get to the end of the demo level and keep falling off the map, there is little hope for the rest of the game. Graphics, camera controls, bugs and tweaks I can see being fixed for final release, but it is doubtful the core gameplay changed.

I fiddled with Roboblitz for about 15 minutes, not enough time to get into the first puzzle, but it does look promising. Might be a purchase for me.

I played that demo last night and decided it really wasn't for me :/

not nearly enough action for the puzzle games im into. Seems like a decent buy, though

If we have a hard time with Roboblitz, Portal is going to be a real bitch.
