If he's holding something heavy, it's harder for him to move.

I got the game (which cost me $3.75) and I think it will make a for a fun platformer. It has the potential of being very frustrating though. We'll see.

Here's a good video demonstration the game:

I figured I'd download the demo first thing after work, but I just noticed they had Gauntlet arcade, which I could easily con my fiancee into playing. I'd basically have to pay retail for the points, so I'm not sure I'd do it, unless I'm absolutely taken with this game.

So has anyone else enjoyed the demo of the new Tenchu game on the latest OXM demo disc? It is the locked content.

Yeah it was awesome. I unlock everything on the OXM disk and try to fire up tenchu and the freakin screen just goes black, happened twice. I hope they don't change a thing in the final version.

Tenchu is on the new OXM? Does this mean the game is coming to the US? The demo has actually been out on the Japanese Marketplace for 4-5 months, but there has never been any official word on whether it would be released in any other territory other than Japan.

I downloaded the Japanese version of the demo back when it came out. I was very underwhelmed. Granted, I never played any of the previous Tenchu games, but the graphics and gameplay in the demo were very substandard. I thought I was playing a PS1 game with clunky controls and ugly graphics. I got to the boss, died twice against him, and deleted the demo and never looked back.

Isn't the game already final? I thought it came out in Japan last month? The only thing they would have to do is translate the text for release in other territories.

I was joking cause I spent all the time on the stupid fkn OXM disk so I could play Tenchu, then the POS didn't work.

Well, as I said in my previous post, you aren't missing much anyway.

I hope Team Ninja is working on a next-gen Ninja Gaiden so that we can get a real next-gen ninja game.

I was just thinking about that last night (new ninja gaiden). I think the first installment EASILY pushed the boundaries of a 1p adventure/action game, I can only hope the next installment raises the bar even more.

After playing the new Zelda, I still don't think its 1/2 as good as ninja gaiden

Well is that really a surprise if you haven't liked a Zelda since the early 90's?

Yeah the graphics weren't that great on Tenchu but i can't help but have a soft spot for those games. I loved them on the PS1.

yes, it is a surprise, considering it came out about 3 years ago (ninja gaiden), i expected to be blown away with the new Zelda. The graphics weren't as good as the xbox, the combat wasn't nearly as in-depth, nor could Link's moves compare to Ryu's (like running across walls, having multiple weapons with it's own set of moves)

Ninja Gaiden also had a steeper learning curve, which I find more appealing as well

Are you f-ing kidding me?? You want Link to move and fight like a ninja?? I am a hardcore Ninja Gaiden fan, but having Link do the same things Ryu does would be stupid as hell. Link is not a ninja.

Haha comparing Ninja Gaiden to Zelda is almost as bad as comparing Gran Turismo to Final Fantasy.

and they are both 1 player, action adventure games. Thats hardly like comparing a realistic driving sim, and an RPG

FYI, Costco has lowered the price on their bundle to $450.

Premium, extra wireless, plug and play kit, live unplugged vol 1, lifetime price protection and warranty

Even though Zelda and Ninja Gaiden are both classified as "action adventure" they are very very different. Zelda emphasizes adventure and exploring every nook and cranny to find every hidden thing. Ninja Gaiden emphasizes pure action and kicking ass.

Plus, Nintendo games are intentionally easy because they are supposed to be kid-friendly. Having a hundred sword combos and a steep learning curve would be a major turnoff in a Nintendo game.

My brother (gmal2003) has not had success with the Linksys WGA11B Wireless-B Game Adapter that was reccommended. His IP address always fails. He called Xbox for help and they couldnt and told him to manually put in the IP address that Comcast would give him. Comcast said they dont give out IPs as they are automatically assigned. He set everything according to the instruction manual and switched everything from manual to automatic IP input but have had no success. Any suggesstions?

about your IP settings

go to the RUN function, under your windows start menu

type in "cmd" and press run

it will bring up a dos screen. Type "ip config /all" and it will give all the details of your internet settings (DNS servers, mask, IP address, the whole 9)

about the router, I would go directly to Linksys's website and download the newest installation program. It will probably require an update as well

Personally I want Link to move like one of the monkeys in Monkey Ball.

Wanting him to behave like Ryu in Ninja Gaiden though was a funny enough image to keep me entertained the rest of the afternoon.

In Super Mario Galaxy, I want Mario to have full body armor and a plasma sword. Please sign my petition - I will start a separate thread for it.

I want him to have Chain Chomps attached to his hands like Kratos.
