The One/Only Nintendo DS Discussion Thread Part V: Clever Subtitle

So I went back today and picked up Magical Starsign, Deep Labyrinth, and MvDK2. Just couldn't let the deal pass without another haul. MS sounds like I might enjoy it, but the other 2 I'm not sure about. I'll be hanging on to them and the receipt just in case something better comes along or I find out I will enjoy them.
Anybody got Deep Labyrinth?

So far, CoM is a lot of fun. It's been a long time since I've played a Mana game (think Secret of Mana on the SNES), so I basically forgot what it was like. I really like the way they've laid this one out, and the way you use the dual screens. This more than makes up for the massive disappointment that was Contact. Definitely worth checking out for any RPG fan.

My fear got the best of me today and I paid $50 for the Castlevania set at EB online. All the stores still claim they don't know when or if they will sell it so I gave in. I just can't risk missing out on the set.
BTW, still mostly playing Magical Starsign and still enjoying the heck out of it. Contact is pretty much forgotten right now. Tony Hawk Downhill Jam is wearing thin quickly as well so I may be ready for CoM sooner than I thought.
BTW, I have also spent time unlocking all the extra designs in Club House games. I have all the different card designs unlocked and really like the Space design. Darts has a cool stone design where the darts are spears. Checkers is also pretty cool with the paper and digital designs. There is just tons and tons to do in Club House. I also beat stamp mode on hard, but the only reward was a multicolored pen for chatting. Big deal.

It is mostly a dungeon crawler, but there's a ton to do in the main village which is your home base. There's no free-roaming, though. Once you go out of the village, you're put on a world map where you have to take pre-assigned paths to the next destination. But they give you a lot of stuff so the travel isn't tedious, like a mount to fly around on.
For those who were asking, the game has multiplayer, but it's not over the Nintendo Wi-Fi network, sadly. I don't know who else will get this game, so I may never get to use the multiplayer portion. Cool thing is, everyone can use their single-player characters in multiplayer, and you get special items the more you use multiplayer.

I have officially played through all the games in Clubhouse Games via stamp mode. I still love going through and playing a quick game of President, Hearts, Solitaire, or Mahjong. A great timewaster, if ever there was one.
I also just started playing Tony Hawks Downhill Jam. I loved the first DS Tony Hawk game and so far I'm loving this one. It's a different sort of game, very much like SSX, which is not necessarily a bad thing. You go to one of 6 different locations and have various challenges to do - like rack up a 70,000 point combo, or grind for a specified distance, or just win a race. In each location the challenges seem to stay along the same lines, but get progressively harder as you get deeper into the game. I haven't played it online yet, but hope to at some point this week.

I know that blue, green, red etc aren't necessarily your thing... but it's my thing. I want a color, pretty much any color, other than white, black, or pink. Has Nintendo announced more colors for the DS lite?
Black - as mentioned above, it shows fingerprints very easily. Plus I already bought one for one of my sons, I don't want two black DS lites in my house.
White - A light color of course - when looking at a screen I don't want a light color surrounding the screen, I want something darker.
Pink - girl's color. I don't have daughters.

They exist, and you can get them. But NOA hasn't announced anything else. It wasn't until recently we had anything but white anyway.

Somebody said it above, and I second...white remains the best DS Lite color. If you have something that's shiny that you touch all the time, you want it to be either white or silver to hide smudges and fingerprints.

I could see Blue or Red sooner or later. I don't care that much about fingerprints, but i guess i don't care as much about how my little DS looks.

If anyone is still looking for Phoenix Wright, and don't want to go the ebay route I just ordered it from family video. They have it there for 27.64 plus 99 cents shipping. However if you're a new buyer you can use code newmem96 for 5 bucks off.

My local Gamestop had copies of Phoenix Wright in stock the last time I went. It's a good time to finally get some copies in stores with the sequel not far away. I might go the import route for PW2, though, as I believe it has a full english translation just like the first one did.

TRU had quite a few copies. I thought about picking up 3 of them for $40 during the B2G1, but checking eBay showed me the margins just weren't there. I can wait for the domestic release of PW2 since I'm way overloaded with games as is and the Wii surely isn't going to slow that down.
