Right now, it's pool, dominoes, and rummy for me. Stayed up till 1AM playing pool last night.
I'm kind of disappointed in spades though, because your AI partner is just retarded.

Hearts, Presidente, Checkers, Solitaire, Ludo and Texas Hold em are my current favorites. I may put Clubhouse aside for a bit, but its definitely one I will continue to play from time to time.
I played Downhill Jam for an hour or so last night and its fun. I think the last DS Tony Hawk game was better overall, but the racing element does at least add something new and fun to the mix.
Still need to dip into all the other games I have picked up as well.

My wife and I play Darts and Ludo alot.
She has a thing for Koi-koi right now.
I played her a game of "I Doubt It" last night and I HATE that game.

The game I hate most is Hashami Shogi or whatever it is called. When I encounter that in stamp mode, I find it much less aggrivating to just quickly move all my pieces into harms way to get out of it quicker.
I really like President (Asshole w/o the beer) and I've always like Spades and Hearts, but I'd much rather play those with humans or, in lieu of that, you people.

I'm hoping to pick up my copy of Downhill Jam today, but my local Gamestop hasn't gotten any copies in yet. I have the game preordered there, but I'm gonna stop in Best Buy and Toys R Us tonight and if they have it there, I plan to cancel the preorder at Gamestop.

Children of Mana -> Final Fantasy V -> Final Fantasy III all a week apart from each other.
Too many damn RPGs now!

I was wanting to pick up a Nintedo DS lite for my son for Christmas. The price everywhere seems to be $129.99 plus tax. I have a 20% off any one item coupon at Toys-R-Us (just received it in an email), do you think that there'll be a price drop between now and Christmas, or is the 20% off a good idea?
Advance Wars: Dual Strike is a $20 game, has good reviews. Ign.com has it rated at 9.0, one of only eight titles at that level (or higher).
For what it's worth, at the TRU B1G1 sale I picked up SuperMario 64DS, Pokemon Trozei (more for my wife than my son, she likes puzzle games), and Mario /Luigi Partners in Time for ~ $75 after tax.

OK, I went to TRU online and they didn’t have any Nintendo DS Lite’s available, and they don’t have an instore pickup option either. And it turns out that the coupon wasn’t 20% off, it was $20 off a $100 purchase – still a decent deal but not as good as 20% off. I'll probably just go to Best Buy now (I have a lot of best buy bucks).

I do have a 10% off in-store coupon, but that's not as good as I would get from Best Buy... if I can use BBB at Best Buy for a Nintendo DS (you're not supposed to be able to use BBB for video game hardware, but some places will let you do it anyway).

So I went to my local Gamestop to pre-order the new Castlevania so I can get all that cool free swag.
The manager, who was actually very nice about it, said that they might or might not get the bonus stuff in-store, and that if I want it guaranteed, I should order it on-line.
So not only do I have to pay a shipping charge and still pay sales-tax, they add an extra $5 for the shipping/handling for the extra bonus stuff - so this "free incentive" to pre-order, is actually now costing me more than $10 extra...

Very much a game that would have been right at home on the SNES. Random battles, leveling up, standard RPG storyline, etc. Everything I love about Japanese RPGs, but also things many may not like. I like the spells and the balance it has between the different magic types combined with getting extra strength depending on how your planet is aligned. The style and animation of the game is pretty cool, but also very much inspired by classic Japanese RPGs. They also tossed in some pretty nice cut scenes using the same tech in Metroid Prime Hunters. The story has a lot of humor and the game doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. Definitely seems like a game that will hold my interest for the 40-50 hours of gameplay. Brownie Brown has put together a solid effort with very good production value.
I'm finding myself drawn to this one more than the oddball style of Contact, but I am a huge sucker for these old school turn based RPGs.
BTW, I read the 1up review where it got a 6 out of 10 and noticed the reason the score was so low was that the reviewer complained that though he could use the D pad to move the character he had to use the stylus to talk to everyone. Somehow in his 50 hours of gameplay he never figured out something I discovered in 10 minutes. Pressing the R button lets you talk to people and pick up items. Also he rips the game for too many random battles and the game being slow when casting spells because of the fancy animation. Dude, welcome to Japanese RPGs. That was how most of the classic ones were designed on the NES and SNES.

He wasn't going to play it, anyway.

Sounds awesome, doesn't it?
