Just unzip to a folder and then copy that folder to the PSP under the Game directory. Oh, and 3.90 firmware is required. I'm installing the firmware update now and then I'll be checking out the demo.

Cool concept, but honestly I didn't dig the demo as much as I thought I would. Hopefully it is an affordable downloadable title.

I'm thinking of get a PSP, and I was wondering how it functions as an MP3 player? I do have a PS3, so I could use remote play if that is a factor.

Thanks!

I liked it, but the demo is pretty short. I think I'd probably pick it up if the price was reasonable.

Thanks!

I use my PSP as an mp3 player....works great. no need to "sync" anything, just drag and drop into the Music folder. Although, if you want a mp3 player for portability, i would not suggest it. It's nothing I would carry around without the case I use for my PSP. I also have a screen protector on it. Still, works great when I sit it on my desk at work...or for a small video screen on travel. Converting videos is easy with PSP Video 9 and many other apps.

Sweet,

Yeah, I wasn't thinking that I would run with it or anything, but I would like to listen to my music at work/on a plane/in the car.

two questions.. just got the internet at work.. but its not wireless.. any cable that i could get to connect my psp to the router? I have the slim.. and could you save images from the internet on to your memory card? thanks for any replies.

Decker 04-13-08 08:37 AM

You need a wireless router. Buy one, they're dirt cheap now.

GatorDeb 04-23-08 02:05 PM

I am having sooooo much fun with both Pinballs Halls of Fame (Gottlieb and Williams). That's all I play nowadays on my launch day fat PSP.

MasterofDVD 04-23-08 02:58 PM

Since my wife thinks I am going to go mad on our upcoming camping trip she came home yesterday with a PSP and Patapon. After thanking her I ran out and bought a bunch of accessories and some cheaper games that I think she'll enjoy too.

I had fun tweaking my system and testing it out. I too feel the need to get a wireless router or some kind of USB Wi-Fi adapter. There is free Wi-Fi at my job so I can't wait to go there and test it out.

I have a list of games I want but I am going to pace myself. It was tough to keep myself from buying the FFVII:CC game but I have enough to start with for now.

I have not done any research yet but 2 days ago Leo Laporte of Twit.tv was talking about a battery and wall powered USB EVDO to wi-fi.
I use the Sprint Sierra 595U for my internet so I might try one of these..

I finally broke down and picked up Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core (Best Buy exclusive foil cover) today. So is the foil cover really all that special and does anyone know the total number of foil cover units that were made available in North America?

Considering the exclusive was still available weeks after launch, I don't think it's all that rare. In fact, I don't remember seeing any non-foil covers at Best Buy, and they're probably one of the top sellers of games in the country.

I've found out that charging my PSP slim thru the USB slot only works if its plugged into a PC, it will not work with USB charging devices.
Does anyone know if someone makes a USB to plug adapter that I could use to charge it thru its wall power plug?
I'm trying to do away with carrying all these blasted wall chargers & power cords.
I've got a Duracell battery/charger (got it when it was $50)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000S0VFRE
and I just picked up the Belkin 918J

Decker 04-25-08 04:24 PM

Pick up an Igo Everywhere Charger
http://www.amazon.com/Everywhere-PS0...9158614&sr=8-1

That's what I always use for my PSP, DS, phone and ipod. It's great and only $21 now.

I finally purchased GoW for the PSP yesterday. I'm way behind in all of my gaming because it has been really hectic at work. Just waiting for summer to catch up with all of the games I have.

theWitcher 05-19-08 10:49 AM

I ordered the GOW bundle yesterday.

Seems like a good deal, and I've coveted a PSP for yrs.

buckee1 05-19-08 07:17 PM

I ordered one myself. (GOW PSP) This is definitely my favorite game on the platform thus far.

slop101 05-19-08 10:50 PM

I just downloaded Echochrome, and it's pretty sweet - totally worth getting. It's kinda like Crush, but different enough to be it's own game. The music alone was worth the $10 I spent on it.

I love the PS3 version. It was a tough call for me, but the never-ending downloadable content sold me on the PS3 version. You can't DL additional content off the internet on the PSP version, can you?

I've been playing around with the demo trying to decide which version to buy and was leaning to the PSP. But if this is true, seems like the PS3 version would be the easy choice.

I don't think so - not yet, anyways. But you can play the PSP version on the toilet :)

Okay - I've been trying to import video to the PSP, and I seem to be doing something wrong - can someone help me out?

Here's what I do:
(I have the latest update: 3.9x or something)

- I connect the PSP (w/ a formatted memory stick duo) to my PC through USB
- I create a video folder in the psp folder (PSP/VIDEO/)
- Into the video folder, I place an mp4 video file
- The copied video plays off the memory stick on the PC just fine
- The video does NOT play on the PSP - when I go to the video menu it tells me that "there are no videos".

What am I doing wrong? I searched high and low, and I cannot find any answers.

Krelyan 05-20-08 11:03 PM

How'd you convert the file?

I've only converted .mp4 from .avi using pspvideo9 and seems to work fine.

slop101 05-21-08 12:11 AM

Didn't have to convert - it's an mp4 file to begin with - it's just a short video clip I used to test it to see if it plays back - I've tried a few actually. So as far as putting the clip into the PSP for playback, are you doing the same things I am?
