I honestly am, I have been reading what I can, I've been hoping for the beta to open up and have been in all the other betas. I think it's fun to participate and give feedback.

That is if I get it. Otherwise I'm curious how the pandarens work out from what I've heard about them. I need something new to do and wow as of now has kind of lost a bit of it's luster to me

I think it will be even worse for the game than Cata was. I suspect they will lose more than the 2 million they lost this expansion.

I have been toying with stopping my subscription as soon as my one year is up.

Gonna take the info back to your bosses/friends/associates at Blizzard?

Any new WoW content is always good, but I foresee taking a break when it drops til the hoopla dies down like I did with all the other expansions.

On a side note, has anyone else has their trade chat destroyed by trolls or people with nothing to do?

A typical day in trade chat has people linking Thunderfury, saying the word "anal" and then linking a talent (such as I had an Anal Commanding Shout this morning), trying to sell BOP's, answering questions with unfunny responses, and talking generally off topic.

The trolls even outnumber the farmers and spammers nowadays. It's like I long for the Chuck Norris chat days.

Typical trade chat:

Wow player 1: Did someone say Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker?
Wow player 2: I believe someone did say Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.
Wow player 1: I thought I heard Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, I just wanted to make sure it was Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.
Wow player 2: It indeed was Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.
Wow player 3: How much is that, I'll buy it!
Wow player 4: Last I saw it goes for over 9000!
Wow player 1: ZOMGWTFBBQ?
Wow player 5: I use my Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker to clean the Anal Dust of Disappearance from The Captain's Booty!

So far i've loved all the WoW stuff that Blizzard has done, so i'm excited for it. maybe just "really" excited instead of "really really". mainly just because its new stuff, not because its pandas

I'm mostly excited for it ... I bought the yearly pass, so I'll be playing it that's for sure. I'm more concerned about what is happening between now and then. I've got all my chars all the tier I wanted from Dragon Soul. kinda burnt out on that raid as well. I'm trying to level up another char, but damn ... I dunno if I'll be able to follow through

I bought the year pass back in November also, free Diablo III and a mount were a good deal since I was playing consistently anyway. I got my main up to 85, but then got lost on what I'm doing.

I know I should be raiding for tiered gear of some sort, but evidently I'm not high enough ilevel to do raids since they don't show up in LFG. I was trying to follow DaveNinja's list, and I think I've already done the Thrall quest. I don't think I've done Open the Firelands and it's not on the Hero board unless that's the one I'm already doing now going to the different shrines in Hyjal?

The raids don't show up in LFG, it's a different button to queue for the Dragon Soul LFR. If you open it up, it will tell you if you need better gear or not. I think you need and average of 373 gear.

its the questline in southeastern Mt Hyjal. its like 5 easy solo quests that tell the story of "opening the portal to firelands". the last quest in the batch is going through the portal and helping Malfuraon kill a rock/lava monster which then opens up the Firelands daily quest hub. After you kill the monster and complete the quest, a vendor in the cave will sell you stuff, mostly firelands rep gear, but there are some ilevel 365 or 378 epics that you can buy with no rep, tanking boots, agilty ring, caster necklace, one other thing. its easy enough to do right after hitting 85 also its faster than the "save thrall" quest line

You also need to complete a good chunk of the quests in Hyjal before that questline will be available to you at all.

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

They released the information for the MoP expansion.

Some bad things is they only are giving us one character slot so if you have 10 already you have no choice but to roll a panda monk. I have a number of friends that wanted to roll a different race as a monk and roll a Panda as a different class. So they are not too happy at the moment.

I am just going to skip a Panda altogether since with only one slot I will still roll a different race as my monk and just skip the whole leveling experience of the Panda.

They are also removing Have group will travel for no reason that I can understand. I guess now I will spend even more time sitting in SW and less time helping guildies since they can not summon me real fast to help them.

Overall the expansion feels much like Cata did to me at this stage with changes to Healers and a huge revamp to talent trees.

What have your thoughts been on it so far?

What do you mean 1 slot... do you mean 1 additional slot?

Shit just got real

That's from my own account.

I have 10 slots taken. Many of my friends also have 10 slots taken.

So if they want a Panda and a Monk they can delete one of their characters so they can have a different race of Monk and a Panda of a different class or if they keep their 10 existing characters and they want a Panda and a Monk they have only one choice left a Panda Monk.

Some people like myself feel they need to either open up all characters to any realm you want. So 50 on one realm or spread out over many realms. Or some number larger than 1 like 2-3 extra slots.

I will be left for the last minute they can do invites for annual pass people probably since I think I am far too vocal on the forums for what I think they do wrong.

Congrats on the invite!

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

I decided to sign up for the Annual Pass this morning. Free Diablo 3, a free mount and a beta invite were enough to justify hopping back in.
