When I'm not running heroics I've been enjoying myself doing achievements, finishing off the last few quests I need for Loremaster, and I look forward to getting the rest of the heroic achievements.

Actually, in the four years I've been playing the game this is the most I've had on my "WoW list of things to do".
Agreed. Once I stopped raiding, running arenas were the highlight of my WoW week. Now I have a list a mile long of things to do. And less time to play. Ah well. Still having fun.

Crazy game errored on me with one toon. Tried the repair tool and that messed things up good. Now I have to reinstall. To bad because I was making a ton of money in the AH. Made over 100g in a few hours. It is kind of crazy but I think I'm having more fun playing the market. Happy winter vale day.

I levelled up another one of my toons to 80. and bought another epic riding skill. Storm Peaks must be hell to quest in without an epic flyer

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

I completed the Loremaster Achievement on my druid a couple days ago. It was a bit of hell going back and doing lowbie quests for 1.5 to 2 weeks in between raids but it was worth it. I did every lowbie quest I could find. The worst area was hands down...Icecrown.* Just soooo many group quests but I grabbed a few guildies that needed them too and all done.

I spent 140 badges of so on 3 of the new heirloom items that level up with your alt toons due to Bind on Account status. Shoulders, mace and trinket for my level 16 shadow priest....and I'll tell you its soooo easy to level now. I was getting (rested and 10% extra from the shoulders) like 1/2 to 1/3 of a bar from 1 kill at level 16. 45 mins and I was up 1 level easy.

Fun stuff....almost done clearing Naxx on 10..starting 25's soon. Bit frustrated with a few of the fights in Naxx but we're getting there, all clear up to Grobbulus in Construct now.

And I hit a milestone the other day...41,000 health in bear form raid buffed...I was pretty happy

I went crazy and leveled my deathknight a bunch. flew through the outlands levels and am now half a level away from 70. going into northrend in outland's quest rewards is great since every quest gives you some huge upgrade.

I should look into getting one of those heirloom items for my hunter. Want to get him to level 80 too.

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

I'm surprised no one has bumped this to talk about the 3.1 patch!

Anyone been to Ulduar yet? I've been invited a couple times, but then I remember the first battle is some big dumb vehicle thing, and I decide I'd rather do something else.

Dual specs is pretty nifty, though!

Oh yeah, I'm 1 quest away from getting the "Chef" title! Woohoo!

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

Anyone have any guides/mods to stack multiple achievements? Like I am trying to do explorer, would Ambassador/loremaster be good ones to do at the same time? Trying to figure it all out.

I don't have WOTLK, so I am done doing quests where I can actually get experience. So now I want to get Ambassador (5 cities exalted), and Explorer/Loremaster as far as I can.

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

I logged on last night for the first time in awhile, and I see my wife's character online. The problem is my wife was in the other room, and hadn't played in months.

The character (Orc Hunter) was also level 80, and she was 64 the last time she logged on. I checked the armory, all new gear but nothing too uber. I tried to log into the account, and the password was incorrect.

So I send the guy a tell, make small talk about the character and the account, and he logs as soon as I mention the possible hacking. So I file a GM ticket, and wait.

He logs onto her alts, one by one. I make conversation with him. He logs after I do so. So I decide to call Blizzard. It only takes 10 minutes before the password is changed and we're back online with her character.

It turns out he not only leveled the main to 80, but leveled a Death Knight to 65. He also had several auctions with Eternal Air, Fire, etc, and high end JC gems. His friends list was full of people with notes like "Chinese farmer, good trader, will buy this and that."

He also had around 400g on the characters, and the money from the auctions came to around 600g. He had each alt parked in front of the mailbox in Orgrimmar. Each alt was also in a different guild. He was a big PVP'er as well, had alot of honor earned.

It felt good to get the best out of a scammer. Oh and he had already paid for a month, so I can play on him

Thats hilarious.

Ulduar is pretty cool. i've fought 4 bosses but only been there when one of them (flame leviathan, the big tank) died.

thats incredibly odd. Most hacked toons get used for nonstop gold grinding until they get banned. Alts often end up transferred to other servers as a way of mailing gold. A pvping hacker seems wrong. I'd suspect that he thought he was buying the account legitimately. Either way, he sounds like an end user, not an exploiter

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

I thought he might be someone that bought the account as well, but the fact he wouldn't talk about the possible hacking made me suspicious. He kept logging.

Also, after I logged onto one of the alts, I saw a level one wearing a tuxedo suit that kept throwing snowballs at me. As soon as I targeted him, he logged. Had a weird name, too. Bots don't interact with anyone, so it had to be him all pissed off.

Oh and all the gems he had were made by another character. Probably one of his other accounts.

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

So I got WOTLK. Created a Death Knight (level 55 yay!).

Anyways I got to Hellfire peninsula, and most of the early quest items are really nice, but none of them are really that good for me! (Plate mail with INT+ spell crit chance? Ugh).

Or plate mail with AGI/STAM

I need STR and STAM ugh.

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

I have downed around 6 bosses in Ulduar 10 man so far. Barely raiding on my hunter at the moment.

I was able to get my warrior and priest to 80 also but really have not raided at all with them. I am now working on my DK(74) and Rogue(72).

I would love to have a shaman and druid or mage but the thought of leveling them makes me tired just thinking about it.

Up to Vazax in both 10 and 25 man. I like the zone so far, but am saddened by blizzards constant nerfing of everything in it.

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

I got banned for 72 hours off WoW's forums today for posting a thread. It was kind of funny and probably worth it imo.

One of my guildies got screwed over by another player and his thread got deleted. I assumed it was due to it saying their name and Ninja looter in the thread title so figured it was safe to post a @name thread with the info in the body of the thread and they did not like that either.

Funny thing is another person posted a thread later asking where is the thread about the ninja looter and used his name and that thread is still there.

I swear Blizz is kind of strange.

i've felt the nerf pain since the patch (mains a warlock). then each week something in the raid gets changed, by the time they stop changing the raid its going to be time for the next major patch.

btw mental did you stop playing on xbox live all together?

Yeah. I think I have used the 360 a total of 10 times in the last 2 years. Sad really.

I logged in a few months back to play a few games on live and all I ran into were kids screaming like mad about how I was either gay, a ni@@er, or a child molester. Needless to say I once again canceled the live account again.

With Atarah coming down for the summer she might start it back up, but that's totally up to her.

Well you forgot that you don't venture onto Live alone - you always go with your group.

WHAT you went out ALONE!!! damn, you're much more brave than me. well if you ever come back i think most of the old people are still hardcore gamers on there. i don't do too much on live but i've jumped into some gears of war (great game) with martin5 and some others from the old crew.

i know what you're saying though on live, its like when a kid goes nerdrage in trade chat, except you can hear em!

I am wondering what people think of the upcoming 3.2 patch. It looks like a ton of changes going on in the game.

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

It looks cool. I only play maybe once or twice a month, if that. The Zep from Thunder Bluff to Orgrimmar will be awesome for n00bs starting out or even alts. I remember how much of a pain it was to walk there back in the day.

Also, the quest items and creatures showing on the map seems cool, too. They are definitely making it easier to quest and level.

My Shaman is still 74, I haven't even seen all the new zones yet.
