Woot, Built in Threat meter on the tooltips, and 2 new stable slots for hunters.

And Just for fun, one of the Exotic pets that were mentioned on the BM 51 point talent

Ok, I know the first new pet I am getting.

So can't wait for the next x-pac. Just wish they would say they were picking the op-ins for the Beta soon. Can't recall checking my e-mail this much ever.

I imagine there will be a lot of hunters in Un'goro taming devilsaurs that first day. I know I'll be there.

A built-in threat meter will be nice. I imagine the mod community will be able to do a lot of nice things with that.

Second round of opt-in invites went out today, apparently. Nothing in my inbox.

Are most of you all on the same server? I used to play for a few years hard, but have been mostly off for the past 9 months. Suddenly the game grew mostly old for me. It's very difficult at 60+ to put in some time and progress with equipment and reputation. It's almost like you need to devote your life to the dang thing! I might be interested in putting more time into it, but part of the difficulty was having a developed enough guild that meshed with my schedule (serve went belly up a little due to guild split and expansion pack a few years back).

I have toons on Gurubashi, but they are retired. Currently leveling another hunter to go with my paladin on Zangarmarsh.

For those of you with the beta, did you have any problem with installation? I've been trying to install the beta client, but when I start it up I can agree to the legal terms, but then the installation just seems to hang with the installation window on the screen with nothing in it. I am running XP64 if that makes a difference.

I would also love a key if you've still got some. Thanks in advance.

No problems here on Vista 32.

Did you try running it in administration mode? Also make sure if you haven't yet, try to do compat mode

Nope but it took a long time (I went to bed after an hour, didn't check again until I got back from work the next day).

I'm the only user on the machine, so I am an administrator by default. I'll try doing the install in safe mode though, thanks.

Yeah, I started the install before I left for work, and when I came home it was sitting on the same blank screen. I'll admit, I haven't really messed around with it that much though (got a friend who is pushing me hard to keep up with him levelling an alt), but I'll take a closer look at it.

I understand, but I am the only user on my computer with admin privs and guest accounts disabled. Sometimes I still have to run as administrator. It's rare, but some installs still make me do it.

Yeah, I tried running as administrator and sadly it didn't make a difference. Then when I ran it in safe mode with networking I ended up with a blank window appearing where it was supposed to be the terms and conditions. I found a few people with similar problems on the beta forum, but the blue there didn't have an answer either.

I'll probably either try downloading the installer again, or try installing what I have on another computer and see if that will work.

Thanks for your help though!

Anyone else get lucky and get in on the beta since the opt-ins are going out now? I would seriously still kill to be in the beta goodness. I want to try my new improved hunter with an arcane shot that doesn't dispel (always thought that was op anyways, and not needed)

Not I. Did you see that more exotic pets are available? You can tame devilsaurs, chimeras, sand worms and silithids now. The sand worms out in Silithus are lame, but there's one in Northrend that looks badass! It's bigger than a devilsaur.
