I'm sure this has already circulated, but from the same site showing a guy finishing Super Mario Bros. 3 in 11 minutes. Wow.

For that you have to watch the Street Fighter video where the dude parries a super hurricane kick like 10 times in a row.

I heard that the guy who did that 11 minute video used an emulator and slowed things way down, even to like 1 frame per second to be able to do everything perfectly.

That is a great dream. I thought you still hadn't played BG&E.

I think they will lauch between 200 and 250. It really depends on the launch titles. With a strong Zelda/Metroid Prime 3, and maybe the new Mario I think they could get away with $250.

Those other videos I've seen before, but I do agree they're awesome.

Also, $200 is what's expected. That's even shown in GameFAQs poll today (link). But Perrin Kaplan said on an IGN interview: "Let me just say, the Wii console will be a price that you will all really like, and it will cause you to line up to wanna buy it." (link)

$200 is a respectable price. But $150, everyone will "really like."

That Mario 3 video is amazing - though yes it does look like the guy used an emulator. Still pretty cool though.
How do we know its not one dude playing it?

Leo Laporte on TWiT:

"Nintendo is back baby"

A pretty good listen on TWiT (a podcast) this week, first 20 minutes or so dedicated to Wii/DS

They aren't going to sell it for $150 - that's just too cheap for a system that is more powerful than any other system they've ever sold.

I predict $200 (and hey, I was right about at least $500 for the PS3 in the face of a lot of people saying there was no way they'd sell it for that much, so listen to me! )

I played it when it first came out on Xbox; I finally traded for the Cube version and am going through it again on full throttle.

No way, man! It'll be $50 and not a penny more! They'd price themselves out of the market otherwise!

I'm guessing it'll start with a 1.

Either $189 or $199.

This thread is starting to remind me of the Price is Right game where they have to guess the next digit in the car... ugh.

I care more about release date than price. Just let me play the damn thing already!

Yeah, but if you PM at BB or CC, you'll get the 11 cents and the 10% guarantee. You'd save 12.1 cents that way. Lowest price isn't always the best deal.

Super Mario Galaxy video

I posted this in the E3 thread, but it should also be here. It is a 6 minute video, looks like E3 gameplay of SMG.

http://www.nwiizone.com/nintendo-wii...er-boss-video/

Graphics look a lot like GC graphics, which will be ok with me as long as the Wiimote and the Virtual Console hold up well.

Since every console that Nintendo has ever released has been $200 at launch, I'll say they continue that trend and price the Wii at $200 also.
