I sure hope a pre-PS3 (11/17) launch happens. I'd sure like to have one for my daughter's birthday when my family comes to visit. I can just picture my brothers and I Wii-ing together.

Tokyo Games Show is also possible.

In this interview, Satoru Iwata, the President of Nintendo suggests that they'll announce the pricing this summer. He also talks a bit of trash about the PS3 pricing.

Okay guys this is a bit off topic, but seeing this I’m just thinking of the kids who will be getting Wii this coming Christmas.

I know that's what MARTIN5 will be doing the day he brings his home! I might too, but I'll have to stop and smoke because being out of shape I need my cigarettes.

"We're using "affordable" in the sense that the price won't be significantly higher than Nintendo's prices have been historically."
Which I translate as:
"$249"

Haven't all the Nintendo Systems launched at $199 historically?

Considering the cheapest next gen system is currently $299 for the core 360 it's almost a guarantee Wii will not go over that price even at a bundle.
I see the core Wii package (as stated earlier) at $199. I just wonder how much the Wii-motes and other extras like the VC controller will cost.

Would love to see your prediction come to fruition.

Well, Nintendo has said they'll probably release date and price info before the Tokyo Game Show.
Of course, since that's at the end of September.. we'll probably still be hanging for a while.

I don't see $250 happening. That is only $50 less than a 360. If MS even considers a tiny price drop, Nintendo is in for some troubled waters right out of the gate.
I can get on board the $219.99 prediction.
