Thanks for the info on Trauma Center, Pixy. Good to know it isn't just a straight remake. Definitely picking that one up.
Awesome!

The Wii offers a new interactive experience to the tried and true franchises in the SAME EXACT WAY that online offers a new interactive experience to your old favorites.

The Wii controller totally changes the way you play games. Online play just gives you the ability to game with racist 12 year olds.

Don't forget that the Wii is just the first step in the ultimate gaming revolution. In 9 short years, our kids will be saying, "You mean you have to play with your hands?! That's like a baby's toy!" Frodo knows the future and even the Wiimote will be a thing of the past once the user-game interface fully changes.

The game itself looks like great fun. 100% agree.
But, watching that woman play it? Hell no... I guess I just don't have much patience. I mean how many times can one run around in the same circle even though nothing was there. Plus she keeps introducing herself to the same mushroom dudes multiple times. Serious ADD issue here with this woman. It's like the torture of watching my cousins play Super Monkey Ball.

First bad Wii news I've heard. They could really benefit from a XBL like hub.
Where in the world does the WiiConnect plan fit in here?

May 11, 2006 - During a technical demonstration for an unnamed Xbox 360 and PS3 Star Wars title, LucusArts made note to announce high interest in creating a Wii title in the Star Wars universe, with lightsaber battles in mind.
At the end of the demonstration questions were raised about the possibility of such a game, garnering knowing smiles from the room of LucasArts employees. Comments of "We are looking into it" were heard from members of their staff as ideas for the game were discussed among the people in the room.
The company has made no official announcements about any planned Wii titles -- there are no LucasArts Wii titles at E3 -- but we anxiously await any information from LucasArts on what promises to be a very compelling game concept.

May 11, 2006 - IGN Wii sat down with Nintendo Entertainment, Analysis and Development's general manager, Takahashi Tezuka, to discuss everything from Wii's online functionality to Super Mario Galaxy. Tezuka spoke briefly about the multiplayer mechanics of Galaxy and very slyly hinted that Lugi could make a return. Here's the excerpt:
IGN Wii: Let's talk about Super Mario Galaxy. What length are you striving for with the game?
Tezuka: We don't know yet. Whatever feels best for the controller is how long it will end up being.
IGN Wii: Many of the land masses in Galaxy are smaller than we've seen in other Mario titles. Will there be bigger ones in the final version?
Tezuka: We can make them as big as we want. I can't tell you what we're going to do, but the capability is certainly there for us to make them bigger.
IGN Wii: Will all of the levels be based on or around moons and stars, or will there be other areas to explore?
Tezuka: I'm not sure about the variety. We're looking at a variety of sizes. But about a variety of level types, I cannot say right now.
IGN Wii: What other gameplay features are you exploring with Super Mario Galaxy?
Tezuka: Nothing I can reveal today. We're trying a lot of different ways to interact with Mario, so please look forward to what we come up with.
IGN Wii: What about Galaxy's multiplayer mode?
Tezuka: We are exploring some options. We're looking at some ideas. More than, say, any sort of versus play, I think we'll be more inclined to do cooperative style of play. More than a cooperative style than a versus style.
IGN: Will you be able to play as Luigi?
Tezuka: I don't know. We shall see! [Laughs]
