Is there going to be a lack of licensed sporting games for Wii? Other than Madden I haven't seen anything about the new EA or 2K games coming out for Wii...or Gamecube for that matter. The Wii will be the 1st Nintendo system I own. Is the lack of licensed sports games typical for Nintendo? If so, that will suck. I'm borrowing a Gamecube and love the Mario & Zelda games that N produces, but I have to get my sports fix too. I wanted to sell my XBOX for extra money, but if there is going to be a lack of new sports games I'll have to keep it. I'd even settle for new sports game on the Cube, if I was confident that next year's games would be out on Wii.

You mean WiiSports won't cut it?
EA seems to be the only one so far with Madden, Tiger, SSX & NFS on slate for Wii. That's a start, I guess. Nintendo has been pretty notorious for lacking sports franchises. Usually they are just lackluster ports.

I think the biggest reason there hasn't been many announcements about sports games is that everything will be out of season when the Wii releases. Although EA almost always has a new Madden for every launch.

Well, Sega did put their 2K sports lineup on the GameCube, but they pulled the plug after 2K3 (2002) because they didn't sell well at all. Maybe they'll try again for the Wii, but the system may really have to take off for them to do that. You'd think they would at least put baseball on there because they have the MLB license.
The Cube had an issue where the early memory cards weren't large enough to save a franchise. Even Madden (which took an entire card) didn't save all the stats that the other versions saved. So the system didn't catch on with sports gamers.

Yeah, the memory cards were killer. I recently bought the GC version of the Fifa World Cup game as reviews said the PS2 and X-box versions had slowdown, while the GC did not, and had to buy a bigger mem card as I only had 2 of the original 59 block cards. Finally got a 1019 card and just copied all of my saves on to it.

Just in case you haven't subscribed to the newest PS3 thread, Lik-Sang is also taking preorders for the PS3.

Does Lik-sang.com charge more than the actual price of the item? If so, about how much? No price is listed.
Also, does the price fluctuate at time goes on? Basically, will they decide a week before the item is released to force a bundle or up the price?
I am just not familiar of the companies past habits and would like to know.
Thanks!

For those that want to get a jump on their Wii expenditures, BB has a 2GB SD card for $50 after a $20 MIR. Could be cheaper in Oct., but breaking up the purchases around release time eases the burden on the wallet.
2.0 GB SD Card
Rebate info: Offer expires on 7/29, form must be submitted within 30 days.

Sure, that doesn't account for this being a screenshot instead of a video with the exception of, once again, coincidence. Sign me up for 10/1 though

Here's another (notice though, that all of these are pointing to 10/1 or 10/2.. whether it's on purpose or just that coincidental..):
Wii -> V V I I -> 5 + 5, 1 + 1 -> 10/2
