Actually, if you are able to play straight through (i.e. don't have to reload a save or restart), this game will take everyone the same amount of time because it is governed by a fixed timer. Beating the main game mode takes 6 hours of real time (72 hours of in game time). It will take a little longer due to inevitable loading screens, cut scenes, and reloads if you mess up (but 6 hours minimum*). Overtime mode will take 1-2 hours of real time.

*For the picky, yes, you can beat the main mode in somewhat less than 6 hours if you

get knocked out by the SF once they show up,
but this isn't that significant.

Use (spoiler) in front of the text and (/spoiler) at the end of the text.

i.e. (spoiler)Put the spoiler here(/spoiler)

To make it work properly, you need to replace the ( ) symbols with [ ].

No key nedded. You have to kill Adam, (the clown) and then stop the rollar coaster. That triggers a cutscene where you meet a survivor. Talk to him and then he will take you to the shortcut. After that, all is good.

You know... its games like this that really piss me off.

Spoiler:

2 Tries and I take down the tank, I had 1 health bar left. I get the cut scene with Brock and luckily my health was filled. Wasn't that nice of the game. I had him 75% of the way down, and he takes me out. Now I have to fricking do the tank all over again.

If they are going to give you essentially 2 tough boss battles, you should be able to save after the first part.

His grabbing move is BS, takes away 3 health bars and he almost always pushes you off the tank into a crowd of zombies.

Phew

Spoiler:

Okay.. loaded up again.Got through the tank again. Got to Brock. Was down to 2 bars of health. Managed to barely take him out.

Now, to work on other achivements again later on. More suvivors and levelling up more. So that I'm ready to tackle the infinity mode.

Ive heard that if you save after the credits, you lose overtime and infinity mode. Is that true?

I saved on another memory card, just in case.

Not true. Also, the tank is easy. Just make sure you shoot the green-lit laser targeting thing that pops up every so often. When it isn't up, shoot the green lights on either side of the front of the tank.

Oops....I forgot to stop the roller coaster after that, will it penalize me or can I still go back and do it?

No, it won't. I let the poor guy fly around on that thing for at least 24 hours before I let him off.

What I did is this, after about 10 other tries.
Spoiler:

Up stairs, on your right when you are looking down the hallway at Carlito, there is a sports store.

grab a few hockey sticks.

Run out of the store straight ahead of you, there is a piller.

Stand behind the piller so that Carlito can't shoot at you.

Use the aiming to aim at carlito, fire off the hockey pucks. He should go down pretty quick. That is if he didnt' get himself stuck in a store.

Yeah, I used the same strategy. Worked great.

1) Megaman Helmet - Easy. Go get it from the gift shop in Colby's movie theater.

2) Megaman tights - Kill 10 psychopaths (Punisher Achievement--you can do this in survival mode or 72 hour mode).

3) Megaman boots - Beat overtime mode without getting knocked out by the SF. Contrary to some people's assertions, you can get this Unbreakable Achievement just by doing OT (once you unlock it) without getting knocked out by the SF. 72-hour mode doesn't matter.

4) Megabuster gun - You can get the toy version at many toy stores in the mall. It actually looks better with the suit than the Real Megabuster, though the latter is far more effective against enemies. Unlock the Real Megabuster by killing 53,594 zombies in one playthrough (Zombie Genocider Achievement).

MAKE SURE you get an ending and save once you get the above achievements! If you just kill yourself and start over thinking you will have these items, you will be sorely disappointed!

BTW, I have this suit, and it is okay I guess. The Real Megabuster is awsome and really a must for survival mode. Everything else is just for looks.

That's a huge understatement, considering the toy version shoots ping pong balls.

The one cool thing about the suit is that when you put the final item on he does a "yippy!" and a little Mega Man jump move to celebrate the costume coming together or something. My favorite outfit is actually the wrestling tights with the Real Mega Buster, the Mega Man boots, and the lego head. The teddy bear head with the Rambo outfit is also enjoyable.

Without having to read through this all....how do you defeat Isabella on her motorcycle? I'm stuck there and I don't really have any good weapons right now.

Thanks!

there's also a nail gun on the floor. It'll take longer but that'll work too.

I hopped up on top of the waste bin near the ramp leading down the hallway. She got trapped in a glitch loop where she would ride in a circle ramming into the wall and the ramp. She stopped periodically and I just "nailed"* her. I went into the battle with one health bar and defeated her on the first try.

*nail gun = found in multiple rooms in the contstruction area right before you reach her.

Late to the party, but here are my thoughts anyway. I just got this game last week. After a few days of playing (i.e. wandering to and fro not really knowing what is going on, not checking my watch, etc.) I restarted and that helped a lot. I went stumbled my way through probably 2 whole cases before reset and I just "got it." The first few times playing it is just so overwhelming, the size and amount of shit going on at once. Not to mention you want some freedom to wander and experiment and find cool shit. Add to that, getting adjusted to the save system and being able to find save spots. It was hard.

After restarting though, it became a lot easier and I breezed through 6 cases this weekend. I've only gotten 7 Achievements so far, but that is without trying. I haven't looked at the list yet. I plan on just finishing the game once for sheer enjoyment then going back for them. Anything I should know about them before I finish and start over? Only rescued 3 or 4 survivors so far.

Question: Frank just hit Level 17 and I'm starting Case 7 soon, will I be able to defeat the game or is my level not high enough?

Still haven't found the Katana. Don't feel like going through 500 posts either. The battle axe is sweet and handled the three snipers... well, handled one then I took his sniper and killed the other two. My favorite weapon so far has to be the skillet. Heat it on the stove, grab and go. Get close to a zombie and hit X. Instead of swinging the skillet, Frank sticks the bottom of the pan to the zombies face completely melting it. Good for bonus points too. If you end up swinging it, it still melts their shirt. Cool attention to details.

Lastly, I haven't had a problem with the save system yet. I don't mind backtracking to find a save point, just having one per memory device sucks. Only once was I almost in a bind. Last night I finished a case AFTER the next one was supposed to start. So once I completed one the rest were expired. I had already saved AFTER the expired time as well. D'oh! Fortunately I do have a memory card and had saved just prior to the expired time. I had to haul ass to make it to my destination though. The save system definitely makes the game more interesting.

Now that I understand what's going on and have a grasp of the map, it is quite a fun game. A shame people get turned off this game so quick, as it is a great one. Pretty good story so far too.
