Anyone have any problems with position players not tiring in franchise mode? My pitchers will tire, but my players are always at 100%? What setting is this? Did I miss soemthing?

I needed my baseball fix so I went ahead and bought this last night.
Ugh.
I'm a 2K Sports fan, and after one game I don't think I can play another.
The presentation is superb. The commentary really feels genuine and acknowledges lots of little details throughout the game.
But the basic game feels broken. The fielders seem to ice skate around the grass. The ball still never looks like it hits the bat or actually lands in the catcher's glove. The heralded "cloth physics" make players either look pregnant or like they're in need of a Bro. Stats are glitchy, transitions between animations are sometimes wonky.
I'm so disappointed. Aside from Top Spin 2 there are no playable sports games on the 360.

Well, now I'm getting a freeze in my GM. I started over, since my Franchise my players were not tiring, I read some info and realized I had to start over....it was ok...I was about 10 games in, but I can deal. Anyways, I start a new GM and now it freezes. I'm annoyed now.....I really like the game, but I can almost tell that it will freeze. The game actually goes a bit slower....like it's lagging. Hopefully the patch comes soon.
Funny thing is...the game never froze before...not sure what changed now.

So just got the game and popped it in. Created a VIP account for the game using my gamertag. Saved it locally then went onto Live to see if I could grab updated rosters. First time I went in it said it was creating a VIP account (on the servers I assume) and locked up TWICE! When it locks it has the pop-up saying it can't locate a VIP account and it is creating one and has an OK button.
So I can't connect to Live servers.
So I play a quick match locally with Cubs v Reds and after striking out last batter in top of second it goes to picture of Prior walking off the mound and freezes.
Very frustrating.
Guess I have to wait till patch comes...
Also I assume you have to download Rosters through the games Live console not the dashboard Marketplace, is this correct?

i read that you should not name your VIP the same as your gamertag .. this causes some problems
in addition, I was taking part in a league that had an online draft. we did the draft, and now when we go to access the rosters it freezes up there.

Just changed my VIP name to something other than my gamertag and was able to get onto Live. Thanks for advice.
Also my next local game attempt locked up after I struck out the first batter. Unplugged my HDD and was able to play an entire game.

I don't know why the VIP file must be named something different than your gamertag. I would imagine that they are both saved as similar type files, and that causes the problem.
As for the freezing in games, the patch is supposed to be released by the end of today, and that should resolve the issue. I am hearing, though, that there are some new issues that come up as a result of the patch, but nothing concrete - yet.
Once people get patched and play, then we should start hearing about the other problems.

How do I get the new rosters to stay loaded for my VIP?
I downloaded most recent rosters and saved them to the HDD. Went into "My 2k6" in game and the went to Load and selected Rosters file from HDD. Okay, when I go to play a game it looks like the new rosters are active. So then I saved my VIP in "My 2k6" as well. But when I turn off my console and go back into the game the old rosters are active again. It is driving me nuts!
Any help?
Jamie
BTW-> So far I have only been checking the rosters in Exhibition, not doing a season ro franchise or anything.

Ugh have to load them each time for Exhibition? That is a mild P.I.T.A.
Other than that, and the lockups that have prevented me from going past the 2nd inning, this game isn't bad. Taking some getting used to as I had played MVP only in past years but I can't say it is "bad" just different. Don't like the base running system as much as MVP though once I get used to it that may change. Also some animations are odd/goofy and some of the announcing sucks (like playing against the Tigers the pre-game commentary stated "The Rangers will be looking to Rogers to go carry the... blah blah blah)
Does suck that since I can't use my HDD to play a game I don't get achievements I earn, etc.
Also the Pro settings seem pretty easy (default). First time I played I had 13 hits and second time (after I read manual a bit) I had a 10 run first inning with Cubs against D Willis and he was pulled after 1 1/3 innings. Will have to mess with sliders because I hardly consider myself a video game baseball whiz...

I need to play with the sliders a bit, but my two biggest problems are the size of the outfield and the speed of the baserunners. The outfield is just too small, I make it to second on less than half of the balls I hit off the wall. Combined with the ridiculously powerful and accurate arms of the outfielders, I commonly throw out runners on singles to right field. I haven't tried the sliders, but I hope that can be addressed.
Second, the baserunners are WAY tooooooo slow. Even the one runner you can boost seems like he's running in mud, let alone the other guys you can't boost. I still haven't been able to score from second on a single to the outfield, even with Andrew Jones running.

The sliders will help with the baserunning....most places have it maxed out actually.
The outfielders arms are NO hope...unless a patch adds this.

It sounds like some people are still having problems with the patch. It's hard to know what to believe on the 2ksports forum, there are so many jerks posting.
I'm glad to hear you guys aren't having an issues. I think I'll just delete everything mlb2k related off the hard drive, then download the patch.
