in multiplayer why cant you hide and lean againist walls and peek around corners? thats what makes it feel like a ghost recon game. In multiplayer that would make games alot more fun

Just finished the game last night...the single player was pretty good. There were some points were I got REALLY frustrated...but fun fun stuff. Now, back to LIVE stuff.

I just finished single player on normal, and I had a blast! There were a couple of levels that seemed very difficult on normal, but the last level seemed overly easy.

Instant Action really extends the life of this game, even if you do not or seldom play multiplayer. I finally finished one location last night. Was only able to do so by customizing the level with respawn options. After finishing the location though, I realized I didn't stand a chance of beating this level on my own without this option enabled. These are certainly tough to play as a one man team!

I just sent out a bunch of friend requests. I got this game yesterday and I am loving it so far. I played a few of the single player missions and a few rounds of live last night. I'm in for the next GRAW DVDtalk match.

Anyone else enjoying the co-op more than player vs. player? The few games I've played was nothing but a spawn camping fest, not too fun. But co-op is a blast, especially the campaign maps, really good A.I. for the bots. Really hope they add more co-op missions via downloads, or even better a true co-op through the single player campaign.

My 360 is being repaired and I have not got to play this yet (aside from 2 minutes) but the co-op has always been my favorite, and one of the reasons this is one of my favorite games.

I would think there will be more co-op campaign missions for download. They called the ones on the disc Chapter 1, giving the impression more will come out.
The only question is, will they be free?

You know, i would pay for them in a heartbeat. Hell, i'd pay a good 25-30$ for an expansion disc if it had something like 8 missions on it.

See, and you thought you wouldn't like the game.

Heh, that is the truth. I spent hours in Oblivion yesterday hunting down rare mushrooms and herbs so i could make potions. Nothing to do with a quest at all, i just wanted to discover some new potions and up my alchemy skill. The game is brining out my inner explorer and i'm discivering that the world had better never rely on me to save it.

I can see it now, "Miyu, someone is robbing the school, you must rescue the children and catch the criminals."

Then they find me two days later down by a pond looking for the 10th rare plant i need for some guy in another town to make me a special potion and my only response is "It wasn't a timed rescue, right?"

I was bored this weekend, so I tried playing some of the coop campaigns solo, but I didn't get the achievements. I did change the settings to aloow me multiple lives, is this what prevented me from opening them up? I guess I will just have to wait until next weekend if that is the case.

Yup, you have to do them with the default settings or they don't count.

Is anyone in the tournament next week? I am playing the first time 4/12 @21:00. We will probably get our asses handed to us though since I have not touched this game thanks to Oblivion, I guess should practice this weekend. We are in the 3rd bracket under the team name Vampyres (our soccer team's name).

We made it to the 2nd round by default, the other team never showed up. And we only lost in the 2nd round 4-0 to two guys that were awesome (they both had all accomplishments on 50% of all 360 games out).

How did everyone else do? Anyone make it to the 3rd round?

We lost in the first round 15-16. I'm surprised your match only had 4 kills.

Are the graphics and gameplay in the game that good like the reviews are saying?

The grapics wer nice. The gameplay was also very good, but some aspects were just ~eh~. Your teamates were weak, would wanter into fire and such. The SOCOM team control on PS@ was much better.

There were only like 12 levels, with each level having multiple parts. The single player seemed short to me, and the "Hard" mode was nowhere as difficult as COD2 veteran.

If you are not big into the online play, then I would just say this was a rental.

The "Mayday! Mayday!" mission has pissed me off to the point that I'm just an occasional online player now.

I'm happy for you guys that need a challenging game, but damn, I'm tired of doing the same part over and over and over.

I guess I need an easy mode. I think this is part of getting old. I'm 34 and while I think GRAW and Burnout are GREAT 360 games, I've hit a wall with both of them and probably won't play either one any more.

I don't recall the Mayday! mission, but there were a couple of rough parts.
I am not a fan on overerly difficult games, but this seemed a bit too easy.

ANother thing I didn't like, is the fact I am running hi-def on a widescreen tv, and I spend most of the game with introduced "static" and/or blurry green night vision.

I think it's the 'storming the castle' mission. Starts out with a helicopter strafing part, then you land and work your way up a pathway towards a castle-looking building. Eventually you end up in a park area and have to take out jammers that screw with your HUD. My save has me at the next part, working my way up another castle-like path to an ammo box, but I'm down to one more hit and I'm dead. The ammo pack gives me a bit more health. I haven't made it much further past that.

I loved the original Ghost Recon and Island Thunder. I think GRAW is a good game (much better than Ghost Recon 2, which I hated), but I'm tired of doing that same part over and over. I guess I could go back and restart the whole mission in the hopes that I can get back to my current area with more health, but I did the previous part so many times that I got sick of it too.

I don't really have any tricks on that. All I did was crouch against the wall and pop-out and shoot, then cover again.
Spoiler:
You are almost done with the level

Do you have a decent automatic gun, or a sniper rifle?

When I start my save, I have the sniper rifle and 3 bullets. I'm at the bottom of a road leading up to a winding paved path. There are 2 guys up above me. I use 1 bullet on the first guy and then wait for the other to come down. After I kill him, I take his gun and make my way to the ammo bin. I've been going back and getting my sniper rifle again and loading up on ammo with it. Maybe I should just keep the 36K (IIRC)?

I keep swearing that I'm never going to touch this game again, then I try it again every week or so.

At one point near the ammo container, I had cover and there were 3 guys on the path ahead. I was able to pop out and take them down pretty easily. But the next group of guys got me with a grenade. When I tried again, my popping from cover didn't work too well and one of them took me out. Then I got frustrated and played Oblivion.
