My cousin just brought his GRAW over so I could give it a test run, just so I could make sure it's the type of game I could really get into. The controls seem like they will take awhile to get used to, but I had a blast through the training and first half of the first level. The sharpshooter team match online was pretty fun too. Hopefully my local Best Buy still has some in stock, so I can use that 10% off rewards coupon.

I can't wait to play this game. I going home for Spring Break and the first thing that I'm going to do is pick this and Burnout up and play until my eyes pop out of my head! I've been away from my 360 for about two months now, (didn't feel like bringing it on the plane with me back to college, too risky), so I need a fix...badly.

I picked it up this weekend and hesitated to play it, thinking the controls would be way too hard and impractical, like almost every squad-based shooter I've ever played.
Training didn't dissuade me from this thought but once I got to mission 2 I was flying along. The storyline is also really interesting. I'm tired of playing shooters in Europe or space or a jungle.

I'm REALLY enjoying this game. Single player is pretty fun. Just passed the part where you storm the "castle"....that was fun. Not sure what mission I'm on.....fun stuff though. LIVE play seems good, played some campaign on LIVE, that was fun.

After hearing all the good reviews (from people here on the forums and from gaming websites and magazines), I decided to pick this up yesterday. I went around the house and found a few games which I had lost interest in and traded them in to get GRAW. I played it for a little bit yesterday, but I didn't have time to do much other than the training and the first mission, plus the very beginning of the second mission. I'm really enjoying it so far, and I'm looking forward to trying out the multiplayer, especially the co-op missions. Hopefully I should be home tonight early enough to get in some quality time on Live.

It helps that I won $400 playing poker this weekend.
This game, burnout legends, and FNR3 are on my buy list.

I never cared for the GR franchise...
But I picked up GRAW based on the positive reviews and my god is this game good. Love it. Best game I've had for this system I'd say (ok, I've only played like 6 of them but still).

My buddy hosted a ton of Elimination games last night and it was great for learning the maps and to practice with a variety of weapons. We also tried a few co-op missions but were not nearly as successful with them. So far I'm extremely pleased with both the single player and online aspects of this game. It's great to see a game where as much thought and work is put into both parts.

{rant}I don't know what the hell is going on with my headset, but I couldn't hear anyone. I was able to private chat with Czar during the game, but no ingame chat!! AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!! I rebooted several times, then switched to DOA4. I could get ingame chat in DOA4. I don't know what the hell is going on! {rant}
Now that I got that off my chest, Great game last night guys!

Yeah, good games last night guys. The Campaign Mission that we finally completed was really frustrating and should be worth much more than 8 achievement points IMO. It was my first time hosting online, so it will take awhile to learn the game types along with what works and what doesn't, but we'll figure it out. The last solo objective game we played last night was really cool. I think some of the other games could also be fun. Also, I wish the lobbies supported more than 8 players. We had a few guys sitting out last night and depending on timing, it could be a long wait to get in if you show up late.

So is Monday DVDtalk GRAW night? Hopefully I get my 360 back (sent it next day this morning) back by next Monday, but I am sure it will be the middle-end of next week.

Ok, so I did some research and it looks like I'm wrong, kinda. There are only 4 multiplayer campaign missions which would total 32 points, not 40 like I previously thought. However, there is an achievement for perfect completion of the entire first chapter (4 missions) in multiplayer, but I don't know how many points it is worth. So, it looks like not only do we need to complete missions 1-4 in multiplayer with only one life, but we also need to complete all 4 missions making sure to complete all primary AND secondary objectives. But, it makes me think that there could be more on the way in the way of future downloadable content. I think it is very peculiar that the first 4 missions available are actually called Chapter 1-1, Chapter 1-2, Chapter 1-3, and Chapter 1-4. They must need more time to create future chapters. Who knows how many more chapters they will add. Could keep the replay value very high if they were to continually make content available.
