I bit the bullet and picked this up along with Burnout: Revenge during lunch. I'll be on in a few hours so if any of you aren't on my friends list, send me an invite. My gamertag is in my sig.

Are the split screens side by side or top and bottom?....I hate top and bottom.

Especially on a widescreen display. Side by side makes much more sense in that case. Can't stand the ultra-widescreen that top and bottom does.

Yeah, I have a 61in Sammy widescreen DLP and when we play multi-player Perfect Dark or Call of Duty 2, we have to use top/bottom. It sucks.

Ill still pick this one up for the single player mode.

I wish I had more control of the rest of my team. I would like them to stay put, but they tend to wander into fire. On the third mission I let them die because I got tired of trying to save them. Also I would like to send 1 guy to blow up the tank, not all three.

That, and I would like some more info on the weapons. Like comparing range with power, scope, etc.

Other than that, I am enjoying the game a lot.

I picked up a copy at Toys R Us on my home from work today (had a $10 coupon card). I'm anxious to try it out tonight. Hopefully the storms in our area will stay away.

Isn't there a way to select just one guy for giving orders? I thought I saw someting about that in the tutorial. Sadly, the instruction booklet is fairly vague.

Picked it up tonight, but sadly my 360 is screwed and I only got to play 2 minutes before it ejected the disc and the CD tray refused to respond. I will try it out when I get my new 360 in 8-12 days.

ugh, seems like a lot of people are having problems with their 360's on this site. I thought I was headed that route because lately all I have been playing is PD0 and the last couple days it has frozen on me once each day. The box and psu are not hot and they are ventilated. So I looked online and it looks like PD0 just has a bug that hangs a lot of 360s. I also read that a patch is due this month to fix the bugs. Normally I wouldn't like that my console game needs to be patched but PD0 is well worth the trouble.

I don't recall anything from the tutorial. I just sent the group to go stand in different areas. Maybe I am missing something. I really like how the team responds in SOCOM, much better than this.

Has anyone tried splitscreen co-op yet? Just wanted to know if the over the shoulder view is available instead of first person. Tried to set that view to "on" in the options, but still no luck.

Ok xMiyux, here's my mini review. (I've only done training and the first few missions)

So far, I've mainly focused on the single player, and it's very nicely done. Grapically, it's pretty close to FN3. I've only gone though training, and the first couple of missions, but the maps are frigging huge! The paced is definately slower, this is not a run and gun type game. I was thinking that the red diamonds (enemy markers) would make this game too easy, but they don't. You only see the red markers after you see the enemy, or they see you. Also I must mention that the AI seems pretty solid so far. IMO, they took all the good parts from GR and rainbowsix3, enhanced the graphics made this game.

I was doing what I think is the 4th mission. I got to a point where there were a bunch of baddies around a corner, so I move to an M50. The first time I wipe out all of the bad guys, and when I let go of the gun, I can't move and had to kill myself with a grenade.

I figured it was a fluke and tried the method a second time. This time I got shot and the system locked up. I had to reset from the console.

Grabbed this tonight. The campaign mode is very cool but also seems pretty hard. This will take some getting used to. The online multiplayer (haven't done online co-op yet) seems very fun though some of the game types are confusing (there was one game with two random guys which I didn't understand). Graphics are nice in SDTV (brought it to my brother's place before I tried it on my set) awesome in HDTV. Definitely a great title to pickup if you like military type games.
If anyone wants to add me to their list my tag is Cardiff Giant11.

Exactly, after nearly 4 months, why the hell do none of the stores even have it on the shelves. I have yet to even see the phantom system except for the demo units.

I did the same thing, even screamed "HOLY SHIT" which caused my wife to run downstairs to see what was wrong with me. She was none too pleased when she saw it was just another video game.
