UNO is a lot of fun. I had two big victories yesterday and my rank went up from a bit above 1500 to a bit above 350. Although it's kind of silly it keeps rank for you in Player Games...

Just curious but does anyone think with the high price of the PS3 that was announced, that Microsoft may drop the 360 50 bucks or more around PS3 release time? I thought it might be a way to possibly lock in even more buyers but did not know if a price drop would be impossible for them so early on.

I see no reason for MS to cut the price....move along, just wait and see I suppose.

Im also seeing no reason for a price cut. Perhaps they'll add in the camera for free or some other type of gimmick. But them being below sony as is, i dont see the need for a price cut, but a 50 dollar cut wouldnt hurt what-so-ever.

I think it depends on how competitive they want to be. It seems to me it would be a vicious marketing strike to drop the price on the 360 so consumers will be thinking "I can get a 360 and a Wii for close to the price of the PS3."
Granted i already own a 360 but as a gamer on a budget i know that would be enough to sway me. Especially given FFXI on the 360, Crystal Chronicles on the Wii, and GTA on the 360 as well as the PS3. Granted you would be missing out on the newest FF game and perhaps that would be a major system seller. I just think it could make for a bloody price war.

Uno really is fun, and the 400 point price makes it well worth it. I think one of Microsoft's big strong points with the 360 is the Live Arcade. Having access to classic games and simpler games is really nice, and it's even better when there's mutiplayer support. For households with both gamers and non-gamers, I think there's the potential for the non-gamers to hop on the 360 for a round of cards or to play a classic arcade game for a little while. And even more serious gamers need a break from the big shiny games now and then.

Of course, I'm still hanging on for a couple of games that interest me and/or better backwards compatibility support.

After that, the system was back to normal and worked great in every aspect. I tried to reconnect, but got a fail at the MTU. Im sure the unit is toast, ill call MS tommorow and have them send me a box to ship this sucker back. I hope they give me a free controller for it, i could really use another =)
I forget exactly what the 360 requires, 1480-1490 I think, but I seriously doubt it's a problem with the system.
It's most likely a hiccup at your ISP or with your router. If it's still not working today, power cycle your modem and router. That will most likely fix it.

We had some marathon games going on! That non-DVD talk guy we had at the end was a hoot. Uno is definitely a great game to mellow out to when you get cool players. Gmal2003 had to help me out with the setup/invites/chat etc. since I'm such a XBLive noob.
Never planned to use the headphone set but it was actually pretty cool!

Yeah, I watched the LIVE Arcade snippet from E3 in the Marketplace....I'm excited for Contra and a few others (Hopefully they left the Contra code in)
The only thing is I wish some of those games would be in widescreen....Contra had a border on both sides of the game

BUT
If anything I bet it would be around a $20 drop and pak in the Halo/2/Map collection. Halo sounds like old news to us, but it would be new to those jumping the Sony ship. Plus building on the audience for Halo 3.
So my guess would be $380 with the Halo collection.

It's the only kind of online game I can best these little punks at.

From a gamespot blog:
11:53 - Pac-Man video, Contra (arcade version!) Frogger with enhanced graphics, Galaga, Sonic the Hedgehog, Defender, SF2: Hyper Fighting, Time Pilot (hell yeah!), Ultra Mortal Kombat 3 (yes yes yes yes, though the logo says Ultimate), Scramble! Good Konami and Namco support. New Rally-X, Dig Dug, Super Contra. He claims "the code" will work on Contra. How is that possible if it's the arcade version?.

Maybe you already explained it here. I have only played against the computer (so far), and I've challenged one of the computer players and I usually lose. What is the criteria for challenging someone and how can I be successful in doing it?
