Alright, you guys are convincing me to give the game a try even though i think Uno is really lame. I'll snag the demo when i can download again. Can you play the demo online or just against the computer?

Interesting Accessory stuff:
• The Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel uses the latest wireless and force feedback technology to bring new realism to racing games such as “Project Gotham Racing® 3” and “Forza Motorsport 2.” From drifting to power sliding, feel the intensity of every turn.
• The Xbox 360 Wireless Headset integrates seamlessly with the Xbox 360 console to provide wireless voice chat, stylish ergonomic design and superior voice quality to chat over the Xbox Live network.

Wow! Those both look AWESOME. Especially the wheel. Hopefully the wireless headset will have a mute/volume control on the controller.
BTW, I got Uno last night after 4 hours of failed downloads. I'll be on tonight, hopefully.

And yes, once you pay for something, you can delete it and re-download it free of charge.

Bought Uno last night and am totally addicted
Did take me about an hour to download even at midnight. Their servers must be getting hammered with E3.
One question: I never played with the Wild-4-card draw rule in real life (actually never heard of it). How would you know if the player had a playable card without seeing them? Trust him?

May 10, 2006 - At the end of 2006, Japanese Xbox 360 gamers will get the chance to play Blue Dragon, the first of Mistwalker's two planned role-playing games. With character designs by Akira Toriyama, of Dragonball fame, this game is generating a sizable degree of buzz. Little has been seen of the actual game, however, but we were lucky enough to get a glimpse following the Microsoft conference at E3 2006 in Los Angeles. During the course of the guided demonstration, we were shown a number of three dimensional models running around the environments, some interesting cityscapes, as well as a few of the enemy models. Little was revealed about the actual storyline, save that it would center on a struggle against evil.
Blue Dragon starts with the main character, Shu, lying in the grass in a quaint mountain town. As credits roll to the side of the screen, you'll be able to move him around the environment and observe the bright, cartoonish surroundings and shimmering nearby pool. Moving down a nearby ramp prompts a story sequence, which involves a dark purple mist rolling into town, forcing most of the population to flee for higher ground. From up above, town NPCs look down. You're given control of Fushira momentarily, a town resident who brought up Shu. He leans over the balcony to find Shu getting pursued by a land shark, and cries out for help. Other NPC townsfolk on the platform notice another down below, namely Jiro, another of Blue Dragon's five playable characters. The land shark near Shu starts to circle more vigorously, and it's clear a fight is coming. That's when the console was shut off and we were shown another area.
While we didn't get any details of Blue Dragon's battle system, we did get a few tidbits about the eventual Western release. It was said that games like this usually take around 12 months to properly localize and prepare for Western markets, but Mistwalker is shooting for a shorter time frame. In the final version, players can expect fully voiced character interactions, including conversations with minor NPCs. It was clear, though, that for now the Japanese version is the focus.
Another character we saw running around was Marumaro, a yellow monster thing with a horned cap. Hailing from a strange town of flowerpot-looking structures suspended over a chasm, he'll join up with your party to help out during the adventure. Like all your controllable characters, he'll have access to a shadow for added power during battles. These shadow forms took the shape of several animals like a pig and a cat, while Shu's was a dragon.
While we weren't initially blown away by the graphics, the animations were smooth and environmental designs were unique. Stages ranged from dusty plains to underwater caverns. We got an extremely quick glimpse at the first dungeon, which didn't show much beyond it being set in a cave. At certain points a debug menu was brought up and the draw distance was pushed way back, adding clarity to all the graphics and causing no hitches in framerate. In one cliff environment that was loaded, this made the game look much better, especially when the camera was zoomed out over the water below, highlighting its excellent shimmer effects.
In terms of enemies, there wasn't much to see. An oversized rat was shown a few times for the purpose of demonstrating unique enemy behaviors, though nothing beyond his ability to bounce around and fall asleep were shown. Overall it was a promising glimpse, however brief. Once we get more details on the battle system and story progression we'll let you know. Stay tuned for updates.

Can I just say how much I love the 360 blog page.
My entery for today made me laugh.
Canis Firebrand's Xbox - 05/10/06
Canis Firebrand really threw down yesterday. It was good to see! I wish you could have been there! Last time I checked, his gamer score is 5671. That is a gain of 65 points over last time! He played UNO gaining 4 achievements, and then he started getting all these friend requests because of high awesomeness levels.

I just joined. I wish I had it while I was getting my big achievements in COD2 and Need For Speed.Quick question for you longtime online console gamers. Xbox360 Live is my first foray into non-pc online gaming. Recently I've been getting friend invites from people I don't know (at least aren't on the DVDTalk Gamertag list
), do you generally just accept them all the time, or is there some bot thing out there sending out multiple requests? I don't game too much online yet with the 360, but I'm just wondering since everytime I boot up now I get messages that this guy is online and that guy etc. I just got one yesterday from someone who has no games?

I guess he could have sent you a request from xbox.com/live area, maybe he's just getting a 360 and has already transfered his account.
As for the online messages, anyone you add to your friends list will show up when you log into live. You can also go to your friends list and it will show you what they are playing at the time.

After we posted a screenshot of a Microsoft E3 booth with a Shadowrun banner clearly hanging on its flank, we doubt anyone really believed that Microsoft was advertising a non-existent product. Nevertheless, for closure's sake, Microsoft and Fase Studio have officially announced Shadowrun, coming to the 360 and PC simultaneously in January 2007.
Rumblings from cyberpunk RPG aficionados aren't particularly good, though. The game isn't an RPG but a team-based first-person shooter. One reader wrote us and said: "I'm a Shadowrun RPG writer... and I'm crying on the inside because of how terrible this adaptation appears. They basically tossed out 90% of the Shadowrun intellectual property to make this."
Which begs the question... why bother? Why license a relatively obscure RPG property just to make a cyberpunk Battlefield 2? This is likely to alienate the very fans that you license properties to attract.

See an Uno FPS would be awesome. Having my turn continually skipped would be like waiting in the Lobby in GRAW.
I will agree though that a cyberpunk Battlefield sounds fun... but like the article said, why license the Shadowrun stuff in that case?
