BladeDVD's Xbox - 05/06/06

I dream of electric sheep... ok just kidding that was Blade Runner.
First entry.

Of course, I right after I signed up, I got too busy to play. It'll probably be whining at me soon.

I had that legendary card previously and it was awesome. Unfortunately you'll probably have to reduce a few more settings than me. Ah, the neverending upgrade cycle of PC gaming.

Yeah I'm assuming I won't be full on all details . I've been fighting buying a new card for a while now. Looks like I'll get one when the DX10 cards come out.

3 Processors, 512MB of RAM, custom graphics chip and multichannel surround sound all gone to waste yesterday as Darth Creepio decided not to show up.
That blog sure isn't perfect. I was playing Oblivion all day, how did I not show up?

I havent bought any points yet either. I expect I will if the Ghost Recon content has some new co-op maps.

Weird. My DSL connection just went down and I tried to play burnout live and it would not let me load my saved games because it couldnt load my gamertag. Same thing for call of duty 2. Anyone else have the same problem. If your connection goes down and you cannot log into live with your gamertag you also cannot load up saved games in the single player modes?

Yeah, I've had that problem too. Oblivion wouldn't let me play when my DSL was down. There must be a work-around, but I don't know what it is.

I haven't had that problem, but I did get an Achievement on Tomb Raider the other night and apparently I wasn't logged in so I didn't get a 'date stamp' with my achievement, just an "acquired" next to it.

Achievements that don't have the 'date stamp' don't show up on the websites compiling Achievement info.

For example on top360tags(? I think), you can see how many people have gotten any given achievement. If you look up Zuma's 5 second achievement only a dozen people have gotten it. I got it but i didn't get the 'date stamp' so I'm not showing up on their list.

Quick question that may have been covered before, but I don't have time to read through 13 pages.
Does the 360 play imported games? I have an Australian console and want to get the Jap version of Fight Night 3. It's cheaper for me.

I had the same problem with my cable modem the other day. I fixed it by unplugging the modem for a few minutes and replugging.

That sucks so if your DSL is down then you cannot even load data for single player offline games? Pretty stupid that even with a 20 gig HD you would need a high speed connection to even load your gamertag just to play saved data. Anyone know a work around? Imagine having your DSL down for several days. Darn you MS.

Yeah that's one 360 aspect I'm not too crazy about.

seems odd...what about people who don't hook the system up to the internet all the time? They must be able to play.

I only hook my 360 to the net when I want to play, never had any problems playing single player.

Two more days until some new CoD2 maps come out. 2 free maps, and 2 maps for 400 points.

Wednesday, May 10
Call of DutyŽ 2 Map Packs: Activision has some exciting new premium and free map packs to get you through the week. Battle across new multiplayer maps for this intense WWII shooter.

* Bonus Map Pack: These free multiplayer maps bring combat realism to new heights. Both are for online, split-screen, and system-link play. Vossenack, Germany challenges you with limited cover and varied terrain. Wallendar, Germany is perfect for squad-based combat, including hidden paths, rubble, and high-cover areas. Its war-torn cityscape embodies World War II-style urban warfare.
* Skirmish Pack (400 MS Points): Two more all-new multiplayer maps, both for online, split-screen, and system-link play. Kalach, Russia is a multi-level war zone with twisting passageways perfect for sniper attacks. Beaumont-Hague, France features open fields for rushes and clustered buildings for ambush maneuvers.

I finally played CoD2 again on LIVE. Just some simple Deathmatch....it was damn fun. Glad they have TWO free maps...not sure if I'll pay for the others....maybe if some of my friends do.

That's the one that screwed me on the Halo2 maps.....all the guys here bought them and I was peer pressured into it it's not fair.

400 points isn't that much.

THink of all the fun on those maps. I'll be getting them for sure. Sucks to pay, but I'm sure they are thinking people will just go along with it because 400 points isn't much.

And I agree about the Halo maps. I was going to wait until they were free, or at least until the disc with them all came out. But darn it if everyone wasn't buying them to play, and needing to have them to play matchmade stuff. So, I had to buy them.
