All these systems look so much better horizontal, what's the obsession with setting things vertical again?

So you can't see the different revolution colors? Your choices are Black, White, Silver, Red, and LimeGreen.

Yeah, I don't see the colors. Lime green? That stands out, yup. I'll take deep pink thank you. I don't want to keep asking people to host or shack pictures so I'll wait until I get home to check them all out (unless something big is shown, like a pink Revolution).

I usually get black consoles, but that red Revolution looks nice with the blue disc tray light. Wonder if all these options will be available for launch though? Guess we will find out next year.

Really interested in [GBA] Mario Tennis Advance, [GBA] Screw Breaker, [GBA] WarioWare: Twisted!, [DS] Advance Wars: Dual Strike, [DS] Animal Crossing DS, [DS] Electroplankton, [DS] Kirby: Canvas Curse, [DS] Mario & Luigi 2, [DS] Metroid Prime Pinball, [DS] New Super Mario Bros., [DS] Nintendogs, [DS] Trace Memory, [Cube] Battalion Wars, [Cube] Chibi-Robo, [Cube] Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, [Cube] Geist, [Cube] Kirby (tentative title), [Cube] Legend of Zelda, The: Twilight Princess, [Cube] Nintendo Pennant Chase Baseball and [Cube] Odama.

Who needs the next generation when I can't even afford all the games I want with the current stuff. This isn't even counting the 3rd Party Nintendo, PS2 and PSP games on my list.

Gamespot now has a full 20 minutes of in-game footage from Zelda: Twilight Princess up in their video section. It's straight gameplay with commentary from the developers, not a trailer so you get to see all the menu screens and everything. It's no doubt loaded with spoilers so beware.

http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/act...lda/media.html
Just scroll down to the videos labeled "Gameplay Footage" it's split up into 18 parts.

Yep, exactly why I"m not buying a next gen console until probably mid-to late 2007 (assuming the PS3 and Rev. launch fall 2006).

Not enough money or time with being a full time Ph D student and working 30+ hours a week on top of that, not to mention having other hobbies I generally put ahead of gaming in my limited spare time.

Is this the right thread to profess my love for Nintendo? You see Microsoft and Sony come out with the specs of their new machines and they're definately impressive and destined to become "media hubs" for many households around the country. Nintendo on the other hand keeps things a bit more simple and centers their game console around more mundane things like, you know, playing games. For that, I salute them. Sometimes being a Nintendo fan is very similar to being an Apple fan.

of course, I'll be picking up a PS3 and 360 as well

Unfortunately there's really not anything on the upcoming Cube list I'll be purchasing. I'll probably just hold off on buying another Nintendo game til Revolution unless I see something on sale I can't pass up.

Isn't the new GBA going to be called the Game Boy Micro, or something like that?

I'm interested in Revolution, its backwards-compatability sounds good (you'll be able to download/play classic games from the NES, SNES and N64 days)

Looking forward to playing GoldenEye again then.
Didnt Nintendo reveal it can play DVDs as well? Not that it means much to me as I already have a DVD player but still.
How much are standalone players in Japan?

The GBA Micro doesnt seem like a true successor to the GBA Not what I thought. Just like the Game Boy Pocket in the 90's was just a smaller Game Boy. I'm sorta annoyed. I held of buying a DS for this...

Unfortunately same here other than Zelda. I guess that will be the last GC game I purchase before Revolution.

Until then I still have a couple games to get through (MP: Echoes, Pikmin 2) until then.

Zelda for me, although I would love to know how Fire Emblem is going to make the transition to GC. Hopefully not as a naff action game or something. I'd dig a rpg, strat rpg, or maybe even a bit of a rts type game...

The GBA Micro is a lateral move... there's no succession involved. I would put it on par with the GameBoy Pocket.

... and I'll probably be getting one!

Isn't it beautiful!

I take it back. That actually looks rather nice I've read about it on Gamecentral (a magazine on Teletext in the UK). That screen blows the SP out of the water. Its supposed to be very sharp.

I'm not going to believe any of that till I see it from Nintendo.

I do wonder if we are looking at the word Revolution in the wrong way. Maybe Nintendo means something else by the word.

We are thinking A sudden or momentous change in a situation. However, maybe Nintendo means A turning or rotational motion about an axis.

Could mean the gyros in the controllers is a big part of the plan after all. I think it will be more than that, but a motion controller could be the true meaning of "Revolution" after all.
