As far as third party goes if the Goldeneye DS rumor turns out to be true (N64 Goldeneye) then EA has a hit in the works. I'm also looking forward to Ultimate Card Games and Ultimate Pocket Games, whatever Namco is doing (Pac Man/untitled RPG) and Dynasty Warriors-besides the previously mentioned Konami/Capcom/Square titles. I hope Activision puts out a Tony Hawk but like everyone else, Animal Crossing was the system seller.

I probably will pass because I find that I don't play a handheld enough, but it seems like a very reasonable price for what they offer.

When I think how much my original NES, SuperNES, Game Gear or my Dreamcast cost, $150 seems cheap.

I haven't been following the development of the Nintendo DS, but are the quality of the games a significant step up from Gameboy Advance?

GBA had some of the best games I've played recently. I don't think anybody has reviewed a DS game yet, so we'll have to wait to know how good they are.

I just wish they would offer a Palm OS type cart for it. Then I could replace my PDA as well. I'm sure that would never happen though.

We'll they'll be 3D, and look a little better than N64 games, if that's better quality to you.

Major agreement. I've played my GBA MUCH more than my PS2 or Xbox.

The fact that the system comes with the Metroid Hunters game demo makes me think that Nintendo is going to really push the wireless gameing aspect of the unit.

What games would you like to see support the wireless play, and how would you like to see it implimented?

Imagine a wireless multiplayer Animal Crossing where you can scan the wireless zone around you looking for villages to visit. Pop in unexpectedly to someone's town and chop down all their trees and steal their fruit. Then plant flowers in a pattern that says "Bite Me."

Or when animals move towns and one starts calling you "*****" or "muddafukkka". Or one shows off a nasty letter like "I bet you have a big dick for a frog-go fuck yourself." Kneel before Satan (my AC GCN character).

MOD NOTE: That's not funny and not really appropriate for this thread. -namja

Mario Kart, Smash Bros, the Mario Sports games, and the Mario Party games are the obvious ones.

I agree with this too.. but I think it's mostly because I can play the GBA while taking a shit. I think that if I could play GC, PS2 or XBOX while pooping the GBA would be on the back burner.

I will definitely be getting the DS.
