Hate to say this, but it sounds like they're flooding Disney+ with a bunch of C-list properties Echo? Moon Knight?.

Echo is being introduced in and spun off from Hawkeye.

I’d rather they be introduced on Disney plus as opposed to shoehorning them in Avengers or other main character films.

But isn't that intent of Disney+? It gives lesser characters the ability to be seen. It also allows them to be introduced first, then shifted into the MCU. I have zero problems with it.

Most excited for X-Men: 97 and Marvel Zombies. Some other cool stuff too, but those are the stand-outs to me.

I assume the teasers will be pulled any minute now, but nice to see a wee bit of actual footage from the upcoming shows.

I’ve never heard of Moon Knight but if Oscar Isaac is playing him, I’m totally there!
She Hulk looks good.
That brief clip of Ms. Marvel looks like it belongs on an afternoon Nickelodeon show.

you think Moon Knight is C-list? I don't think an actor of Oscar Isaac's caliber would take on a c-list role. Jessica Jones was probably d-list and that turned out pretty well.

Moon Knight is definitely C list.
But love Oscar Issac, don't know much about the character (because he's C list) and looking forward to the show!

Moon Knight is one of those characters that was perpetually on the back burner at Marvel, and only really seemed to gain any traction with readers when drawn by a notable artist like Bill Sienkiewicz or Stephen Platt.
Which isn't to say they can't make a good series out of the property, but Moon Knight is at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to the greater pop culture. I mean, they managed to turn Guardians of the Galaxy into household name...
The problem I can foresee is they're flooding the MCU with a ton of Disney+ series that don't really resonate and have minimal connection to anything else going on in the greater universe. The three post-pandemic films -- Black Widow, Shang Chi, and Eternals -- haven't exactly set the world on fire.
The first three phases of the MCU had a straight narrative through-line, from Iron Man to Endgame/Far From Home, involving the formation of the Avengers and the Infinity Gauntlet/Thanos, where each film and sub-franchise stood on its own, but still built toward a greater story arc.
Phase Four seems preoccupied with replacing the original Phase I-III characters (Sam becomes Captain America, RiRi becomes Iron Man, Jane Foster becomes Thor, Yelena becomes new Black Widow, new Black Panther -- which was was forced on them by real world events) and all of this multiverse business. It just seems like they're taking the MCU and watering it down to a junior varsity team.

I think Moon Knight is essentially Marvel’s version of a Batman.
As for flooding us with Marvel shows and characters I’m all for it.
The more the better for me.

So... do we think Spider-Man: Freshman Year will be a prequel showing Peter getting his powers...introducing Uncle Ben... etc.? Or Freshman Year of college filling in story before a potential new film trilogy that would have an older Peter working as a photographer?

I don't give a shit about if the characters are A-level or how familiar I am with them. All I care about is if the show is good. I had zero connection to Guardians of the Galaxy or knowledge of the characters and loved both of those movies.

“Moon Knight” sounds like one of those generic Halloween costume names that shady companies use to steal an idea without getting into legal trouble. Like “Wizard Boy” instead of Harry Potter or “The Jokester” instead of The Joker.

The one artwork they showed during that Disney+ Day Marvel 2021 program looks inspired by Ditko, but artwork seems sort of Romita-ish.

Eh… now I’m a bit less excited. Would rather see them advance the story instead of going back.

Moon Knight is awesome, and he's no more obscure than many characters that have been introduced in MCU films, let alone television. Can't wait!

Yeah, I really liked how he had progressed in the comics, dealing with married life and being an adult, then that stupid "brand new day" arc threw that all away. Parker being a teenager was good at first, but I think he's become more interesting growing into adulthood.

The show does what comics do, go back to #1 for a new audience. Peter Parker as a teenager is accessible for a new, younger fanbase, and that's who it's targeted for, I'd bet.
That said, how fun was it to have a couple of older Peter Parkers from the perspective you're talking about, slop101, tossed in with Miles Morales? I liked the juxtaposition.
