I hope that is what they do with the next stage of Holland films.

It would be nice if the 60's inspired character style gave us a show inspired by the 60's cartoon series.

Better quality of animation, same groovy style, and the flavor of classic silver age comics.

I know we won't get that though.

Yeah, that Spider-verse movie was all kinds of great. Possibly the best superhero movie ever made (animated or not)?
Shows you that even Sony can make a good movie if they just let the artistic creators do their own thing and leave them alone.

No Hawkeye thread yet, but some of the reviews of the first 2 episodes are positive. Basically the show doesn't take itself too seriously.

Thatís good.

I got the impression from the commercials that it was going to be a self aware lighter tone for. Good but if it.

So many MCU related threads I never know where to post this stuff. Someone probably beat me to this but Charlie Cox is now confirmed to be returning as Daredevil.

I think it's funny how people forget how popular the Moon Knight comic was in the early 80's. For about 3 years that was a hugely popular title.

But since Marvel didn't handle the title all that well after that, for younger readers he became a C list character. But for a little while he was most definitely A list.

I still wish they would pick up Luke Cage and Jessica Jones on Disney+. Of course, that might not fit their more family friendly format, but so far I actually like the Netflix Marvel shows more than the Disney+ Marvel shows. (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and The Defenders - I love all of them. OK, I like Iron Fist, but I love the rest.)

Nonsense. I was well steeped into marvel books in the early '80s, and Moon Knight was absolutely a C-list character, B-list at best. If he were A-list, he would've shown up in other books to help their sales, and he did not.

Is there a Moon Knight thread? I couldnít find one. Didnít want to start one just in case.

There's no reason to right now. This is the thread to discuss Disney + shows in production and development.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Disney+ Discussion Thread - news, rumors, etc.

We'll probably start a Moon Knight thread when there's a proper trailer released.

Is that the confirmed next Disney+ MCU series coming out?

I would think that they would want to stagger their MCU and Star Wars series, and have something coming out after The Book of Boba Fett concludes early next month.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Disney+ Discussion Thread - news, rumors, etc.

I think they have to overlap at some point.

Number of episodes in 2022:

The Book of Boba Fett - 6
Obi-Wan Kenobi - 6
The Bad Batch season 2 - 16
Andor - 12

Moon Knight - 6
She-Hulk - 10
Ms. Marvel - 6
What IfÖ? season 2 - 9

Thatís already 71 episodes of TV, not including any making-of docs they might also drop. Thereís also Secret Invasion and The Mandalorian season 3 that are both supposed to release in late 2022. Thatís a lot to fit into 52 weeks.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Disney+ Discussion Thread - news, rumors, etc.

What are the Bad Batch going to do for sixteen episodes? I know animation is dramatically cheaper than live action, but there will no doubt be at least four episodes of needless padding in there.

And I'd like to see What If...? disconnect from the MCU and be comic based, opening up literally endless possibilities.

Overlap, yeah.

I was thinking that Disney+ would want a new episode of either a Star Wars series or a MCU episode debut every week, as there's probably a lot of overlap between the two fanbases.

I don't think anything has been announced for what comes after Book of Boba Fett ends on February 9. We haven't even gotten any trailers (outside sizzle reels for Andor and Kenobi, and those little ten seconds previews of the MCU series).

Seems to me if we are getting a trailer for Moon Knight tonight, that would suggest it is the next one up. Maybe we get that some time in late February.

I'm kind of tired of clones, anyway. And Bad Batch seems kind of off-model; feels more like Halo or Gears of War or some other video game than Star Wars.

I'm also wondering what they're going to do with twelve episodes of Andor. I think that six to eight one-hourish episodes is about the ideal length for Star Wars and MCU series. Any more than that, and I fear there's going to be too much padding.

What some consider padding, I consider the exact things Iíve been waiting 40 years on. Iíll take all the frog ladies theyíve got.

When I say overlap, I mean there isnít enough time for all these episodes to run consecutively. At some point weíll have to be getting multiple shows at the same time. No complaints here!

Correction. Boba Fett is 7 episodes.

Has that been confirmed that Andor is 12 episodes? Please don't tell you got that from The Hash tag show or Giant Freaking Robot.com

I think I read that Secret Invasion is not coming out until 2023.

Mandalorian season 3 is on an extended production hiatus due to COVID.

I checked wikipedia before I posted, and it says Andor is twelve episodes. Also that Kenobi will be six episodes -- I remember it was four episodes when it was announced.
