Jeopardy 10/8/05 "That's a man, baby!"
I'm not sure if this is a rerun or even if this has been discussed before, but is anyone watching today's Jeopardy? There's a female contestant named Val playing and I'm willing to bet my left **** that she/he's a man (transvestite). Bad blonde wig, huge jawline, deep voice, terrible makeup. Something's not right here. Please tell me that someone else is watching this and agrees.

It could affect them. If they write down two answers but only one is correct (even if they list that one first) then they will lose. If they're both right, who should care. C'mon, it's not like choosing a dollar over in The Price is Right

on the price is right, if you are $1 over, you lose? so a guy who bids $1200 on a $1199 item would lose to a guy who bid $1?

Bidding under the price is like paying that amount for item, which is good. If you bid over the correct amount, you are paying more for the item than you should. Therefore the price is wrong, bitch.

If the contestant were to put "or" between the two parts, it would make it correct to list both, e.g.:
A: One of the two other car manufacturers in the Ford family of products.
Q: What is Lincoln or Mercury?
However if "or" was replaced with "and" that would be incorrect.

Everytime I see that I think they got what they deserved!
On a related note: I always thought it was funny on Win Ben Stein's Money, when someone answered in the form of a question...pissed Ben off!

They do that to avoid ties...If the price is $500, and one person bids $400, and another bids $600, they're both $100 away from the price...that would be a tie, and you'd have to have both of them play the game...Although a good tiebreaker would be to give it to the person who was under the price...
