Re: Jeopardy! Discussion
where did you get that from?
Ive never heard of anyone that thinks this. James has brought the game back into the limelight by creating an interesting strategy and not that same old boring top to bottom category at a time game play.

I thought James style influenced Ken's gameplay and it worked out great for him, this was a super fun tournament and I'm glad they were all there to play these rounds with Alex

This is another one of those times Where you post something as fact when it just isn’t.

But what was not new was DD hunting. He wasn't even close to the first of doing that.

I found this article on the Lowest Scoring Jeopardy Contestant. Change of pace for those debating playing strategy.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion
I saw this thread was bumped before I got caught up for the week so I thought their might have been something on the show worth talking about.
Friday's show was interesting, with the guy that started out pretty bad and getting down to -$2000 and then won the game by doing a late true daily double when he was already in first place. And he also did some trolling with his Final Jeopardy answer of Aleve and a wager of $1337.

Anyone else think the "Berry Gordy"/"Barry Gordy" thing on Final Jeopardy was bullshit?

Alex Trebek all but announced what we've all been thinking. That Ken Jennings will take over as host. A week or two ago Jennings did a whole category and after that Alex said something about looking over his shoulder.

Ken Jennings was a fun story until he became Ken Jennings, Inc. I would have preferred someone else. Alex is not the GOAT because he is a master of arcane trivia and timing a button push.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion
Unfortunately I don't. I usually build up a few episodes and binge watch a bunch at a time and then delete them right away. It was within the last two weeks though.
Fair enough. But I think Ken Jennings does have a lot of charm. I think he's likeable enough, well spoken and his history with Jeopardy doesn't hurt. During the GOAT championship tournament I liked the banter between the contestants almost as much as the game itself.
But I think the more important question is. Who else? Certainly not that blonde lady on Jeopardy. Have there been any celebrities on Jeopardy that did well that might make good hosts?

I like Ken and he is charming and a likable enough guy that fans of the show can immediately gravitate to without skipping a beat BUT he has kind of a nasally voice, IMO which would be awful for a host reading clues. Voice and cadence are everything for the next host.

I'd be perfectly fine with either him or Ken.
I think Ken is telegenic and has enough charisma to pull off the hosting gig.
Or they could go with Will Ferrell.

LeVar Burton could be good. More of a celebrity, but not so much that he’d be obnoxious like some game shows with celebrity hosts. Ken Jennings would be a fine choice though too given his history on the show.

I would kind of like to see Ben Bailey of "Cash Cab" fame given a shot.

Going outside of the box a bit, what about Jeff Probst? Or Phil Keoghan?
