Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

This year's batch of Christmas movies start next month.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will premiere Christmas Camp on July 7 at 9 p.m., EW has learned. Starring Lily Anne Harrison and Bobby Campo, the film centers on an advertising exec (Harrison) who must bring in a new account in the form of a traditional toy company. To learn more about the holiday and its traditions, she attends a ďChristmas Camp,Ē where she crosses paths with the camp ownerís son (Campo), who teaches her about other stuff, too, like love.

The following week, on July 13 at 8 p.m., Hallmark Channel will debut A Merry Christmas Match, starring Ashley Newbrough and Kyle Dean Massey. The plot revolves around a woman named Corey (Newbrough) who lives in a ski village, works in her momís antique shop, and puts on an annual childrenís Christmas pageant in honor of her late father. When a man named Ryder (Massey) visits her store, Corey wonders if she should have left town and followed her dreams of becoming a theater director.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

The sale is like all Lacey Chabert , Danica Mackellar, and Meghan Markle. I donít think I need to own any, though.

Iím looking forward to the movie at the end of the month, which has a Broadway actress, Laura Osnes, whose career Iíve followed for a while.

Bottled with Love was yet another spin on the Youíve Got Mail plot, but it was pretty good.

I only bought one title. Not thrilled with their selection of choices for the sale. Hoping for a better Christmas sale. My favorite movie of 2019 so far is Winter Love Story with Jen Lily.

I liked Wedding at Graceland more than Christmas at Graceland.

Christmas At Graceland was surprisingly dull and disappointing.

I don’t think I’ve seen any of these, and had no idea that some of them had two or three sequels.

The best of the bunch are the All of My Heart movies in my humble opinion. A little disappointed with these last two Hallmark sales. Hoping for better titles and more titles available for sale at Christmas time. Lower prices would be a huge plus and a mix-and-match sale would be great.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Out of that group, A Country Wedding is decent. I'd also recommend All of My Heart with one caveat. The first sequel was a real letdown for me. I forget exactly why I dislike it, but I was disappointed.

I have to agree with both. I did like All of My Heart: The Wedding. Ended up getting all three movies in this series. Not really interested in any of the other titles in this sale. I do like Bridal Wave but may not spend any more money on Hallmark titles til Christmas.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

I see that it is old news on this thread that Hallmark is celebrating Christmas in July (I used to love those J.C. Penny’s ads It’s Christmastime in July)!! I was watching the latest Mystery 101 Hallmark film and the commercial announcing the original Christmas Camp made me squeal with delight. TheBigDave’s post noting another original in July just has me so giddy happy.

I couldnít find this on the schedule so I checked Osnesí Instagram, and she said itís been moved to August on Hallmark Now streaming. I donít have that service so Iím bummed. I guess there could be a free trial.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

I’ll pick up a few of the new ones on VUDU. I think Once Upon a Christmas Miracle was one of the better ones last year.

The Last Bridesmaid was pretty good, but I’ll watch pretty much anything with Rachel Boston.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

iTunes is having a Christmas in July sale on Hallmark titles. There are at least 12 Hallmark Christmas movies for sale for $5.99. Haven't see that price on iTunes for Hallmark movies. Don't have time to list now. Crazy schedule today.

Except if they hit .99 cents on Amazon like they did last August right?

Thanks for posting the list.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

A lot of the Christmas movies are also on sale at Amazon.

Although I prefer Vudu, I don't mind buying at Amazon. They have an app on every device, so it's easy to watch. Unfortunately, iTunes is currently limited to the Apple TV. So I rarely buy iTunes movies unless they're MA.
