Sale is live, and it also includes In My Dreams with Kat McPhee.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Christmas In Evergreen: Letters To Santa with Jill Wagner was so-so but it had A+ Christmas decorations. They decorated the town so well it looked like a Norman Rockwell painting. I'm not sure why I didn't like the movie better. The forgettable male lead had very little spark with Jill, and Hallmark has used the career-woman-must-decide-between-her-successful-urban-career-or-quaint-town-romance one too many times.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

I've now moved on to the blonde phase. Welcome to Christmas and Return to Christmas Creek were both fine. The latter was the second one this year to have the character developing a mobile app--who says these things are always the same and don't stay current?

I just started watching these with my Wife for the first time this holiday season and this seems to be the plot to every movie I have watched so far.

I noticed Poinsettias for Christmas is $4.99 as well. Ignore the Amazon reviews, it's a good Christmas movie.

Hallmark keeps expanding their slate of originals each Christmas season. They've made something like 40+ in the past two years. That general story arc has been used quite often since they expanded.

If anyone hasn't seen The Christmas Chronicles on Netflix yet, make some time to watch it. Easily the best Christmas movie of the year. I think it'll become one of those classic films that people watch every year.

The overused cliche that bothers me most is the ending of almost every Hallmark movie.

A couple spends the first 1 3/4 hours falling in love. Then with about 15 minutes left, one of the two characters will misunderstand a situation (overhear a conversation, see the other person talking to their Ex, etc). Instead of talking it out, they run away (go back home, quit their job, etc). They're both sad for about 5 minutes. Then in the last couple minutes, one of them decides to make a romantic gesture, they clear up the misunderstand, and admit they're both in love with each other.

Christmas Joy was pretty good. Clever move by Hallmark to cast Danielle Pannabaker to attract some younger fans who remember her from Disney Channel.

Christmas at Pemberley Manor, Once Upon a Christmas Miracle, Mingle All the Way and Christmas Joy have been my favorites of the Hallmark Christmas movies this year.

We watched this with the family the other night. It's a lot of fun. It's like Jack Burton is tripping on acid and imagining he's Santa Claus.

Small Town Christmas and Christmas Bells Are Ringing were both good. I have a co-worker who's way ahead of me on the checklist so I've been trying to catch as many new ones as I can.

Not a Hallmark movie, but I caught "Poinsettias for Christmas" which aired on Lifetime a few weeks ago. It starred Bethany Joy Lenz from One Tree Hill, John Schneider and Sharon Lawrence.

It was okay. Whole story revolved around a busy city working girl (Lenz) who goes back home and helps her father's struggling Poinsettia farm and realizes she misses her family and home.

I mean, that’s a Hallmark movie in every way except network.

I liked that movie a lot, primarily for its star. Bethany is a very reliable Hallmark lead.

Christmas Made To Order, which just premiered last night, is an excellent Christmas movie. Stars Alexa PenaVega, an old Hallmark veteran. I liked the scenario about a busy office executive that hires a woman to help entertain his family for Christmas. They also didn't bring in Alexa's real-life husband this time, who is starring in some other Hallmark movie.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Hallmark is repeating many of its Christmas movies until Sunday. They are even premiering another new Hallmark Christmas movie this Saturday as the finale.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

I watched the Christmas in Evergreen sequel, and it was pretty good. It was kind of a cheat sequel because the leads were different but Holly Robinson Peete was back, and Ashley Williams had a small supporting part as the same character.

I liked Ashley Williams' new one, Northern Lights at Christmas, and Christmas at Pemberley Manor and Small Town Christmas were both good.

I'm at 7/21 Countdown and 10/17 Miracles titles on the checklist, with only a few more that I'll actively seek out.

It's disappointing that Vudu had only the one sale with mediocre prices, plus a few selections in the year-end sale. I only bought one this year.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

The sale was disappointing. A few of the better movies deserve a Blu-ray release.

Pretty sure that last year or the year before, they had a two-for-$9.99 sale that included some of the bundles.

I wish Hallmark did bluray releases. They could put multiple movies on one disc that way.
