Don't be surprised if this show starts borrowing entire props from that show.

I'm wondering how long before ABC decides to move it to Friday night?
It will get renewed for a second season and moved to Fridays, where it will die a quick death.

The best thing about the show is Skye the hacker, mostly because the actress is stunning.

She looks like Alyssa Milano so she is quite stunning. Don't know if I'd call her an actress, however.

She reminds me of Linda Cardellini.

You know I've been going back through that show again recently since I own the DVD's and holy hell it's amazing how bad and cheesy that show looks now. I know it's almost 20 years old but it's hard to believe that it was once one of the most expensive shows on TV at the time.

Now one show that does hold up really well for a superhero show that's over twenty years old is The Flash.

My wife is convinced that Joss went out and got the closest approximation of Eliza Dushku he could find.

I haven't read a comic book since I was twelve.

And I think the comic fanboys are the ones willfully overlooking the show's many faults and defending it far beyond what it has earned.

p.s. This is TV Talk

Coulson is such a pompous dick in this show I'll never look at him the same way in the subsequent movies... also, deleted this from my season pass.

That's how he was in Thor. That's the only movie where I hated Coulson and actually wanted him dead. Fortunately he went back to being likeable in Marvel's The Avengers. And the he... You know.

Don't watch MM. She was on ER and Freaks & Geeks. She's 38, not that old, IMO.

I liked this episode more than the pilot and will keep watching for now.

Aside from the main girl being hot, this show is boring.

Id rather ABC air The Neighbors in this slot - it's just a better show.

/out.

I liked it better then the Pilot. I think it's getting there in finding it's tone.

Although I can see that this show is slightly more family friendly (PG style action) than having a harder edge that a lot of you desire.

The complaints about how it's shot and the special effects are just petty IMO.

I like Ming-Na Wen a lot. I think Melinda May, if given more dialogue and more things to do, has the potential to be an interesting heroine.

Liked the Samuel L. Jackson cameo at the end.

Re: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D -- "0-8-4" -- 10/01/13

I finally caught these first two episodes. As someone who has never seen the Avengers, I found myself lost as to what was going on at first, and I had a hard time getting into it. I wasn't even sure who I was supposed to be rooting for.

I found the characters really blah, especially that guy who is supposed to be the lead. He looks like a middle-aged used car salesman, not some cool secret agent.

I am out.

If I didn't know where they had been with Coulson before the series, I think that's exactly where I'd end up as well, Jadzia. It's an apt description.

I liked it enough
the references to the movies are nice but won't be enough to carry the show though so they're going to need to step it up a bit

hopefully tesseract energy won't cause the sun to explode

I'm surprised someone hasn't seen the Avengers! Or seen Coulson in one of the other Marvel movies, before watching this.
