So what was that tape recording the Governor played? A bird whistle sound or something? I hope it wasn't one of the Dixon brothers' hunting calls that he learned somehow from Merle.
So does anyone think that the Governor's plan for Michonne was (just my speculation):
I'm hoping that they'll eventually let one of the main cast members turn and not kill them off immediately. Maybe someone could turn and get separated from the group and end up just wandering as a walker out there. Then maybe return as a walker sometime down the road. What if Hershel died and turned? He wouldn't fair too well, wound he? I guess he'd be a "crawler".

As well as my CRT TV allows, yes. It was broadcast in widescreen, I don't think I was missing any visual information.
It sounded to me like he was calling Milton out, Tyrese seemed to genuinely not know about it, he seemed to be referring to losing it on the other member of his group, not about the zombies. I don't think he'd have been able to access a truck at night, much less the gas, but I guess we'll find out next week.

I guess the writers should stop trying to be "subtle." I say subtle jokingly, of course, because I don't know how much more obvious they could've been.

Yikes...does this mean I need to leave these threads until I see the finale? I remember last season when people were referencing spoilers indirectly outside of spoiler tags. Even though indirect it was enough for most to figure out what they might have been referring to.

This episode wasn't bad until the final act, when the Governor shows up out of nowhere after being left for dead to grab Andrea. I didn't think for one moment that Andrea was in any real danger in that warehouse, which hurt my enjoyment of the scene. The season's narrative has been spread way too thin and there is simply too much filler going on this season. If we were going to have to wait until the finale for the showdown, some other plot elements should have been introduced to pass the time.

The way the Governor got to Andrea at the end was bullshit, a deus-ex-machina that was forced upon by not planning out that story arc with consideration to the episode count.
There is no way that he beats her to the prison without using a truck and thus being able to be heard.

And just to point out, tonights episode was the only one of the last two to end with non-show composer music. Last week ended on a conversation between Rick and Hershel with zero music. What came before that was, I thought, a nicely effective montage.

This episode didn't work for me because it is obvious that neither Philip nor Andrea were going to die. So it all boils down to how she was going to be captured (which I echo the sentiment before me that it is BS). Looks like they are devoting some time to develop Tyrese so he must play a key role in the finale.

I kinda feel bad for Tyrese and his group. If only Rick & co. would've taken them in they wouldn't be in this predicament. That was about the only interesting thing for me about this episode. A whole ep. focused on Andrea & no Rick/prison folk just felt like a waste.

Andrea was never going to be Lilly, because she would never be able to be redeemed from that. Only idiots thought she would be.
I only feel bad for Tyrese. His entire group is full of morons, otherwise, and I'm positive that he's the only one of them who will survive in the end. Even his bitch sister still clearly believed the governor.

I think it's because they're pimping a 'Walking Dead soundtrack' that comes out this week. It wouldn't bother me so much if it they had just assembled a compilation of songs that had already been used in prior episodes, but doing it this way feels forced... as in, 'Work these songs into episodes airing around this date so we can promote a soundtrack'.

The Gov stalking Andrea in the building was great but was offset by the stupidity of the CrotchMagnet the Governor apparently has on Andrea. However I think the few scenes with Tyrese were the highlight.
Also put me in the camp of how did anyone miss that Milton was the one that burned the zombies? They stopped short of having John Madden draw an arrow on the screen over his head. Loved the scorched zombies still alive and kicking.
Lastly what is really interesting to me is how the tectonic plates around Atlanta are apparently subtly shifting Woodbury and the prison closer together. It's apparently just a short jog between the two now. Either that or the character's have found Mrs. Todd's Shortcut between the two. And kudos to anyone that get's that reference.

Along those lines, I think they also made a stark contrast to show that Andrea is part of the prison family. The Governor was relishing killing those zombies with the shovel. Andrea didn't give a second thought to shoving the one down the stairs and again in the woods wasn't even the slightest bit taken aback when she was attacked. She very calmly handled that situation. Like you said, it was just another danger in the world.
Yeah that was a glaring mistake on the writer's part. I kept telling my wife, "steal the truck" "steal the truck" "steal the truck" but slashing tires would have been just as effective. What a dumb broad. Which is ironic because moments before I thought her move opening the door and slipping in behind it in the crevice to let the zombie pass her was the smartest thing she's done on the show. I had to watch that twice. It was a slick little move.
Who said anything about redemption?

Also, I like that the Woodbury group calls them biters and the prison group calls them walkers. It's a nice sign of the difference between them, the competing cultures, and what they view them as. Woodbury sees them as completely dangerous and needing to be eliminated/used as a weapon. The prison group just sees them as just another danger in the world, but there's no need to prescribe a certain characteristic to them (like "biter"). Maybe I'm thinking too much about that.
