I don't know that it was real. Heck, I know absolutely nothing about furniture, antique or otherwise, and I could tell the sofa wasn't 120 years old. When they flipped the sofa over it had a webbed bottom. Not something you'd find on furniture that old. And, while they didn't give a real good view, if it had been that old the wood should have shown more wear where the wings connected to the main section.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Definitely scripted(big surprise). A guy that is slowly going bankrupt wouldn't make a casual 5k bet on something that is obviously not over a hundred years old.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Maybe one of the reasons he is going bankrupt is because he does dumb stuff like that.

I want to believe!!! That was awesome.

I'd like to see a special where they compare Barry's cars with Jay Leno's. Talk about the history of the more interesting ones. How they were acquired, etc.

Hell, I'd watch that series.

I don't know. He took the loss of the bet rather well for being 5 grand. A little too well, especially for Dave.

That Dave and Brandon argument was stupid. But unfolded about as well as I expected it to.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

I don't exactly think that the show is NOT scripted, but I dont' think its 100 percent scripted either. And if you see that last scene where they are listening to the guy go off about the couch, Dave actually looks nervous. he keeps looking over at Barry and he seems like he's actually shaking a bit (go ahead and rewatch it!). It may not have been his money (maybe the producers put in the money), but I suspect that the winner was going to get to keep it.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

OK, that bit with Barry getting all that bird crap on his car? That DEFINITELY looked scripted. His appeared to be the only car with any bird poo on it.

Yeah but the bird reaction in the coop wasn't. That was pretty funny.

I wonder what Hester did with all those RAID drive enclosures.

That was only one of the very few scenes in the history of the show that felt genuine. Barry was pissed and I don't blame him one bit.

Do you have to ask?! He made thousands of dollars off of them! He's the Hands of Gold!

Just finished the episode, and that cracked me up. There is no way that was faked. Barry was one hundred percent mortified.

I hope Dave employs the silent Yuupp!! in future episodes. It was a nice break.

I wonder how long they're going to keep up the same Brandon/Darrell stuff.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Has anyone ever run into Darrell at the swap meets in Cali? He sells at the one at the Rose Bowl, right?

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

I would think somewhere in San Diego. The Rose Bowl is in Pasadena, way to the north.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

I think it would be interesting if they start a love triangle involving Brandi and Dave and Brandy ends up with Dave at the end of the season and in the next season, Jarrod tries to win her back by decorating a storage locker with a love theme dedicated to her. They cut open the lock, lift the door, and it shows her reaction - crying with emotion. Cut to a montage involving Jarrod and Brandi. She then runs up to Jarrod with a huge hug and kiss and gives him a lap dance.

If Brandi ever leaves Jarrod, it'd be for Barry. That, I could believe.

Oh hell to the no. What kind of ridiculous idea is this? You're turning it into a fictional show at that point.

(and don't give me that crap it already is.)

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Brandi got offered 5 million to do a porno and said only for 10 Mil. and only with Jarrod but Jarrod said he was cool with her doing it on her own if she wanted to do that and they could really use the money and it could really help their business. She said she wants to get in better shape. The producers want to have Jarrod in it as a cameo along with Barry. It's going to be titled 'Whoreage Wars'. Dave is broke and has been borrowing from the Las Vegas Mafia to finance his business ventures for the past 2 years but they are getting tired of the losses. He is close to having his legs broken. He also has a micro penis which explains a great deal. Jarrod had to stop his affiliation with the Neo Nazi movement after he was asked to be on the show. One of the things he had to agree to was to stop going to rallies and whatnot so the show wouldn't end up in hot water. Jarrod said he would do the show but only if they didn't have any black people on it. Barry has been a porno producer for 22 years and has acquired a large collection of antiques and cars and decided to do the show so he could get his name out there more so it will help him get new talent in his films. Darrell almost went broke after getting hooked on meth 12 years ago but with help from dave's brother he was able to kick the habit and get his feet back on the ground. Dave's brother loaned him money once he was clean and he bought a 50K locker with it. He has been pushing most of his profits into the Subway restaurants he owns in So Cal. He had 4 when the show started and now 15 across So Cal, Arizona and Nevada. Brandon is the brightest star in the group. When he was 15 he was diagnosed as having a slight case of Cretinism and was forced to go to a special needs school. He has battled his retardation his whole adult life but seems to keep it somewhat retained on the show...

I was rolling when Barry called Dave a douche nozzle on this past week's episode.

When did they start showing Brandi's last name?
