It would be nice to see what his actual business is, because while they play like he's in this only for the collectables and rarities, he buys units based on things like sofas and power tools just like Brandi and Jarrod, so he's probably in a similar business as the rest of the crew. That just doesn't suit his "character" on the show to showcase that element of his character.

He's made references to having "the guys" come down and pick up the contents. No idea who they are.

Maybe it's just a crew hired by the producers to dump the stuff. He was in the produce business and retired.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

But regularly? He did it again in the recent episode where they introduced Jeff.

I live in OC and really should go to one of these events... I gotta find that schedule.

There's a difference between a true heal acting like an a-hole and an a-hole acting like an a-hole. And Jeff is just an a-hole. Total dead weight. The whole time when he's talking about not letting Dan get way with whatever he thought Dan was getting away with, I kept thinking "You're not going to do shit asshole."

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

I got the impression that the whole bit between Jeff and Dan was totally scripted just to give Jeff some sort of back story. It seemed to get mentioned a little too often to be natural. Either that or he really is an a-hole, as has been mentioned.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Did anybody else notice the commercial for the next new episode was changed from "While the couples squabble, will Jeff make a big score?" to "While the couples squabble, will Dave make a big score?"

I wonder if they're going to CGI Dave into the episode a la Jabba the Hutt in Episode 4.

I dunno. The way he carelessly tosses stuff out and dumps it outside the locker, you have to figure it's all going into a dumpster. The guy is like a bull in a china shop.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

This show is nothing without Dave Hester.

Last I heard, he was going bust with his auction house though... so he's probably spending most of his time on that.

I've actually given this some thought and I agree with you. Dave is obviously the heal of the show, but he's not THAT hated that people want to see him gone for good. You want him to get a crappy locker, but you don't really cheer for the guy to go out of business.

All of his businesses have failed. He can brag however much he wants but the proof is in his business models. They never have worked.

As much as I hate Dave, this Jeff guy is 10x worse just because he's annoying. His chemistry in the show just feels off compared to the others. I hope he's only a temporary addition.

I don't get the hate toward Jeff. I like him, he's sharp, his store looks well-stocked and successful. Not sure what's eating you guys.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Probably his complaining is the #1 thing people find annoying about him.

His complaining is annoying. Telling Dan that he shouldn't be telling Barry anything about the contents? Who cares. The guy thinks Dan has it out for him and he comes across as a douche.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

No he's right. You are supposed to be bidding blind and this show has accusations of planted items. Jeff is right to call him on it.

As for his complaining, Sheets is no better. And he sounds dumber than a pile of rocks. At least Jeff strings together complete sentences.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

This show has officially jumped the shark for me. The entire show feels scripted and Barry's buffoonery has long lost its charm.

I wonder if that guy really quit. I could always ask the next time I go but I doubt they will be up front with me.

Jarrod: Pull it out. Pull it out.

Brandi: That pull-out method never worked for me before.

That looked really odd on camera. I wonder what the story is with that.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

He probably got tired of being pushed around by Jarrod on camera. Him and Brandy just sit back while he does all the work and maybe his buddies were teasing him about it. I think he had enough.

It actually looked like a real meltdown. Unlike the stupid Brandon/Darrell made up crap.
