Re: Bob's Burgers -- "Moody Foodie" -- 5/06/12
I can't help but be amused whenever I watch this show. It's not a classic like "The Simpsons," nor something I don't think I will ever purchase the DVDs off - but its gaurenteed to be a mindless fun half hour.

"This is me now!"
I love how obnoxious Gene is, his lines get me more than anyone else.

I definitely think there is something to be said for this show. Season two has given me multiple rewatches of each and every episode so far. My favorite would have to definitely be the first episode this season 'The Belchies,' and I loved the Cyndi Lauper cover of her own song at the end of that episode. Cant' wait for an even longer season next year, it'll be well worth the wait!
On the note of the music, I love how they recreate all of these songs and interject them into the show. I find them very entertaining.
This is definitely a show where I will watch through the credits since they always change them up. Really liked the ending of the 'Burgerboss' episode, very cool 8-bit sequence.
Lol Tina's male doppleganger

I like the new name for the rat killer Truck and the name of the store next door every episode.

I think I only have every caught the neighboring storefront change in the beginning...never noticed the truck though, I'll have to keep a keen eye on that. Thanks!

Chuck: Hey, Hey, you guys made it!
Pam: Come on Linda, Let's get tanked.
Bob: Uh, thanks for inviting us, Chuck.
Chuck: You're in the inner circle, Bob. Think of us as your family now.
Bob: Uh, okay.
Chuck: So, you and Linda swing?
Bob: Uh, No.
Chuck (laughing) Okay, I'll take that as a yes. Wink.
Bob: No, I--
Chuck: Steve's Wife. You likey?
Bob: Um.
Chuck: No? Why Not? Body? Face? Both. Okay.
Chuck: Hey, Steve. You Likey?
Bob: Um, Chuck?
Chuck: Hey, be open to it. Be open to it.
Bob: I really don't think we should--
Chuck: I thought I told you you were in the inner circle.
Bob: Right.
Chuck: Then the only rule of the inner circle is that you're open to it. So, if Steve's in--. Ah, Steve's not interested anyway. Nevermind.

Bob's Burgers (FOX) -- Season 6 Thread - Premieres 9/27/15
Figured I'd start bump this. This show mostly goes unnoticed these days, in large part thanks to it's 7:30 PM air time that is usually pre-empted, as well as a schedule that sees it on the air for a couple weeks then off entirely for a month at a time. Still, imo it's easily the best of Fox's current animated line-up and still my favorite (overall) of their sitcoms.
The show was renewed today for Seasons 7 and 8.

S06E01: Sliding Bobs
Synopsis: Bob notices that he has started to lose his hair. In a wave of nostalgia, Linda reminisces about Bob’s mustache and how it made her fall for him years ago. Meanwhile, the kids tell their own versions of what would have happened if Bob didn’t have his mustache when met Linda.

Wow. Some shows don't get individual episode threads, but Bob's doesn't even get it's own SEASON 6 thread?

I love this show. My wife and I are regularly quoting it. The show is getting its own Pinball FX table:

I'll have to help pick up the slack, because Bob's Burgers is one of my favorite shows. Last season's "Hawk and Chick", where Bob and Louise bond over a series of Japanese grindhouse films is one of the series' highlights.
I didn't enjoy "Sliding Bobs" too much though, as it was mostly grounded. The show really takes off when the Belcher kids get into various adventures (and Tina's attempts at dating). I have confidence there will be more classics on the way though.

Enjoyed last night's episode. Lost it at Gene's "that's not a good use of that room" line after seeing the doll on the chair, as well as the follow up line in the bathroom.
