Was that the season finale?
I thought it was a great episode, maybe my favorite of the season. They've been a little too hit or miss for me, but I really liked it last night.

Re: Bob's Burgers -- "Lobsterfest" -- 05/15/11
Just got around to watching this and it was definitely a great episode. This is definitely one of my favorite new shows and I'm glad FOX gave it a second season. So many great moments.
One of my favorite recurring gags on the show is the totally unnecessary quick zoom-ins with dramatic music. They've used that gag a few times now and it never fails to crack me up.
Louise is still the best character, but I like everyone else now as well.
Louise's rig to boil the water killed me. So ridiculously dangerous. Her first time eating lobster was definitely the best too.
Bob's chalkboard illustrations, and then it still hanging on the wall the next day.
With the ending and the health inspector saying, "Shut it down," this definitely seemed like it could have functioned as the season finale.
As my first post indicates, this was "Episode 12 of 13," so no, not the finale, but I could see where you would think that, as I mentioned above. Next week is the season finale, then it isn't scheduled to return until mid-season (if memory serves) next year.
In fact, the production code for this episode was 1ASA13, so it was intended as the finale. I don't know why FOX insists on airing episodes out of order. I just hope on the DVD release they're in production order, 'cause I think there were a few continuity errors in the middle of the season.

This was a pleasant surprise as I thought the last episode was the finale. The typo in this thread's title only confused me further.

Damn, sorry about that. If a Mod sees this and can change the "2" to "22" I'd appreciate it.
But yeah, last week's episode should have been the season finale if you're going off production number. It clearly had a season finale vibe to it.

Great episode! Loving this show so much; can't wait until season 2!
Gene was great this episode:
"I'm the only one who wears it; what's the difference?.... What you don't want to buy burgers from a guy who smells like pee? No one can tell where it's coming from?"
"Where has this sport BEEN all my life?"
"We don't care.... That's what I was trying to prevent!"
Forgetting the name of the restaurant and stammering while Bob's in the background having a hemorrhage screaming "BOB'S BURGERS!" was fantastic!

This episode was great. I haven't been to keen on this season, it was watchable but nothing to look forward to. Now if they come back next season and deliver more episodes like this it could easily turn into one of the best animated shows on TV.

I enjoyed it, but there is definitely room for improvement. I have high hopes because this type of semi-improv production can take some time to gel. The first season of Home Movies had some rough spots too.

Gene: "China? Stick to noodles, am I right? Is that racist?"
Everyone: "Yes."
Gene: "No..."
Bob: "Oh, I got 'lick foot' again..."
Tina leaving a note that said "Tina" under her sheets to try and fool her parents killed me.
Linda: "Sometimes you want to ride a roller coaster twice, but you don't want to wait in line."
Loise: "My arm's not stuck in a crevice so I don't need to cut it off like that impatient idiot."
Loise: "Oh wait, here's a grappling hook! And here's an escalator! Silly me!"
---
I'm glad to have this show back. It's so funny and has a wonderful cast of characters. Loise remains the funniest, but everyone brings a lot to the table.

One of my top ten favorites from last year!
Kristen Schaal is awesome, but yes the rest of the cast is great with the voiceover work.
Taffy Butt
Gene: She went to find the treasure by herself because we're "a burden".
Bob: Gene, what did I tell ya about finger quotes?
Gene: Not to "do" them.

I honestly think it was the best episode from the series, just great job. The twins remind me an awful lot of the twins on Home Movies.... I loved "funcussion"
