Re: Sherlock (BBC) begins tonight on PBS...

I loved this episode but hate the modern take of Adler as a con woman. She's one of the only (maybe only) strong female character in the Holmes universe. I doubt Conan Doyle would care as he was pretty liberal on the use of Holmes et al.

Re: Sherlock (BBC) begins tonight on PBS...

This show has some great writing and is intriguing, but there so few in a season. However, I always prefer quality over quantity. "Scandal" was superb. Haven't watched Hounds yet, but I have a feeling it's more or less there as the one story with which almost everyone is familiar.

EDIT: Apparently the actress who played Irene Adler also played Sookie Stackhouse's fairy relative on True Blood. Thought she looked familiar.

The short seasons don't bother me at all, I prefer that they keep each story a full 90 min instead of breaking it into two traditional episodes.

Unannounced. Considering it was well over a year wait between season, probably not for a while.

I think Moffatt flips between Sherlock, Doctor Who, and movies...

Just read last night that season 3 is going to start shooting in 2013. That is such a long time away!
Anyone know why the creators of the show just limit it to 3 shows each season?

Probably simple quality. Plus they're 90-minute movies so if you break it up, it's like 9 or 10 episodes of other shows.

Forgot to record this 3rd episode. Figures that my local affiliate doesn't seem to re-air it all during the week. Ugh.

BR is out today, and this series is one of the rare things that's worth buying IMO. I love how creatively they adapt everything.

Just finished watching Fall, then hit the net about the theories generated by the climax. Noted some pics of scenes apparently edited from the PBS version, which was a bummer. However, I am so ready for series 3 now!

PBS edits them for time, in order to squeeze in the ads and requests for money at the beginning. The apparently do this to a lot of their imported content. The video releases are unedited.

Just finished both series... WOW!

Loved every second of it.

Anyone know where I can download that ring-tone for my text messages?

I just re-watched the Reichenbach Fall episode and noticed something peculiar. Without giving anything away, someone please check out the final scene when Mrs Hudson walks away from Watson...and keep an eye on Mrs. Hudson. What the heck just happened there?

Would you mind explaining what happened? You can put spoilers around it. I have no way of rewatching the episode. Thanks

Re: Sherlock (BBC) begins tonight on PBS...

Something I didn't understand about the finale is how they never addressed a dead Moriarty (dead from a self-inflicted gun shot) on top of the building. I mean, if they get days ahead to Sherlock's "funeral", that's something that should've come up, right?

Re: Sherlock (BBC) begins tonight on PBS...

Regardless of if Moriarty's dead or not, leaving out the detail of whether or not there was a body on the roof reveals their laziness in plotting.

It's a hanging plot point that they'll revisit.

After watching the finale, I wanted to figure out how he did it. So I just started searching. Came across that site and there are a few others as well, all dedicated to theories about the ending.
