I liked it, hope it will become a series. It's more interesting than a lot of other trash that's on TV now. I entered to win a "KITT" mustang on NBC's site, which would be awesome to have. Though I don't think it has the red light in the front; even so they said that model had been selling for $550,000 but I would still be tempted to keep it.

I was really hoping they would show the Hoff pulling away in it from the cemetery.

I hope we can all agree it was better than Knight Rider 2000

I really liked it though, and hope it gets picked up. I crave more sci-fi in my viewing, so this could help greatly. Hopefully more people watched this than an old Dexter episode

A car can't legally have the red (or blue) light on the front, as it could be confused with a police car.

I'd watch if it became a series. I liked the Las Vegas shout out.

Show's ok, but my favorite part was being in the Montecito. They need to get a better lead actor, though.

They did show K.I.T.T. 1.0 or at least a few pieces of him. If you DVR'd it, check out the opening where they are in the garage. You can see a part with the Knight Industries Two Thousand/Trans Am Logo and the front end of the Trans Am.

Who's GOB?

I thought this was really good. It had alot of nostalgia value and there were some cheesy moments, but the action was good and I really felt like I was watching Knight Rider. Mike Traceur doesn't have alot of the charm that Michael Knight had, but I think he'll grow on me if this becomes a series. I think Bruce Davison was a good choice to fill in the shoes of Devon Miles. Although it would have been cool to hear William Daniels as KITT, I thought Kilmer did a good job.

I hope if this becomes a series that they can sign up Hasselhoff to have some guest star appearances to help young Mike Traceur.

I guess the producers are basically forgetting the 1991 Knight Rider 2000 movie ever existed since the timeline wouldn't make any sense.

Different actors playing the father character?

Didn't anyone notice that the Bruce Davison character was played by a different actor in the middle when they showed he had a double and the real father left through the back door? This different actor was also shown on Kitt's screen later on.Did i miss something or was he supposed to look different,or is this part of the overall cheese factor?

So, has it been established if the computer part of "KITT" voiced by Val Kilmer is supposed to be the same "KITT" as the original series, or if it's a brand new computer?

Did any of you watch the old one? It's cheesy as all hell.

This was one of my favorite shows growing up. About 5 or 6 years ago they started showing it on Sci-Fi and I told myself I'd rewatch the entire series (which I did) and my god I couldn't believe how horrible it was! It will always have a place in my heart from my childhood, but wow .

Will Arnett was supposed to be the voice of KITT this time around, but he's also the voiceover dude for GM and their truck line commercials, so there was a bit of conflict of interest since this show is mainly a Ford-injected show, so they brought in Val Kilmer to voice KITT. Will Arnett used to play GOB on "Arrested Development", and people refer to him as GOB no matter what, these days.

I'm gonna assume that it's supposed to be a brand-new computer, just because I'm holding out hope that if this gets to series, we'll get William Daniels & the Hoff back for a special episode.

I have to say, I really liked it as well, though it seemed to me like they shot the car chase scenes exactly like a car commercial, which took me out of it a bit. Also, I wish they had picked a sleeker-looking model for the car--that Mustang is too boxy. But yeah, it has that fun '80s action feel--a bit cheesy, but a lot of fun. I hope this gets picked up next season.

Recorded it. Wanted to first read some opinions before I waste 2 hours. Guess I'll be watching it.

If you cut out the ads I think you've got about 30 minutes to watch.

I guessed I liked it. And I'm someone who loved the original series..
Some things I didn't understand..
Was Mikes Mom (the one who died) supposed to be Bonnie?

I think they should of used the new Camaro for the new car, not the mustang. But they probably got huge funding from Ford..

I didn't like the car chase because all the cars in the chase were FORD.

I was disappointed that when KITT was accelerating they didn't show the speedometer with the clicking...

The other thing was too many damn commercials..

I didn't like Kitt's voice. I thought half the fun of the original was Kitt's gay voice v. Michael's Manly Man Voice.

I agree with the statement that this is the closest thing to a cheesy 80s show that's been on the air in a long time. I was already in the Navy when the original shows came out, and remembered enjoying them for the light entertainment they were intended to be. I guess that's why I enjoyed last night so much. BSG works because of the darker take. Knight Rider, on the other hand, needs the lighter touch.
And yes, KITT 2000 was dismantled in the garage at the beginning of the program, but that would not prevent an appearance or two if the show is picked up by NBC.

Knight Rider was not the train wreck many were predicting.

To everyone talking about all the Fords in the show, I'm pretty sure that the SUV that got wrecked at the end was a GMC

As for the rest, pretty good I though. Certainly as good as the original was. I liked some of the updating and I love watching the GT-500, glad they kept the engine sounds instead of the "whistle" from the original.

I enjoyed it for what it was, but that being said, there are a few issues I have. One - Is KITT (2000) just dismantled in Senator Kelly's garage? That's no way for an icon to retire. Two - Not digging the "morphing" and "color changing" - Too "Viper." Kit morphed back in the day (I do love the look of the modern Super Pursuit Mode), but it was all hard-point-hydrolics. This thing looks like it has mercury running over it and suddenly it's a different shape. Three - 2 hours and no Turbo Boost? I call Bull Shit.

There's no way they can turbo boost that car.

Same here. Total cheese and that's what made the original so enjoyable. I'm not thrilled with the choice of the Mustang, but I did like the effects of the protective coat and 'chameleon' effect. Thankfully, they made it a manual instead of an automatic.

But where was the Turbo Boost?
