That 7 minute Sopranos video is hilarious. I love how they keep reusing the clip of Carm throwing the luggage over the railing at Tony. And the blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo by Will Arnett (complete with "Final Countdown") is the awesomest awesome thing that ever was.

I just saw this. It was just my third episode of The Sopranos, lol -- rented the first season but gave up after two episodes because it was far too slow. Looks like things have improved since then, and now that I've seen
Episode 1.01 "The Sopranos"
Episode 1.02 "46 Long"
The 7-minute Sopranos refresher course, and
Episode 6.20 "The Blue Comet",
I'm all set for the finale. Should be good!
My one major thing I picked up on since I last watched the Sopranos was that Tony's daughter got real hot, real fast.

But I almost forgot you have a hard-on for Lost. Maybe if The Sopranos had ended almost every week on some sort of artificial cliffhanger, you'd stick with it longer?
EDIT: And really, why would you watch the first two episodes of a show that has been on for nearly 7 years, drop it, and then watch the final two episodes? Hoping to get in on the watercooler discussion at your job, want to participate in the threads here, something else? It's like cracking open a book, reading the first 15 pages, and then skipping to the end.
The recap is extremely entertaining, and does a nice job of condensing years of a show into a tidy, brief package, but you're doing yourself a major, major disservice if you're using that to fill in the gaps of a show like The Sopranos.

Look, it's simple. I was curious after reading all the raves for this episode, so I checked it out, even though I dropped The Sopranos after giving it a try last year when I rented it. I thought it was slow, then. I thought this last episode was very good, much more eventful and tense than the episodes I'd last seen, and am going to watch the finale. How is that bad? Am I not "worthy" of seeing the finale unless I've seen all 85 episodes leading up to it? I can watch it however and whenever I please, and should be allowed to do so without it really affecting anyone else. People jump in to and out of shows all the time and I don't see anyone attacking them.
Is my watching next week going to lessen the enjoyment of the episode for you, or something?
The whole "I'm all set for the finale, now" thing was tongue-in-cheek, and I'm sorry if that was lost on you (no pun intended). Of course I can't claim to have caught up on all the stories and all the character arcs to be "ready" for the finale in that sense. But I'm still going to watch it, and enjoy it, and comment on it in next weeks thread.

Thats right. You are not worthy.
I'm kidding.
People are getting on you because you said season one was boring and because you said you caught up on the last 6 seasons by watching that youtube clip. I figured you were kidding, and so was I when I said "leave this thread now".
I dont really understand , though, how you could appreciate the final 2 episodes when you really have no idea whats going on.
When Bobby was killed, I actually felt worse for him than I did for Syl. For most of the Sopranos, he was bullied by pretty much everyone, Tony, Uncle June, even his wife. Now he finally has some respect and has become a mafia tough guy just to get killed shortly after.
Someone who has watched a total of 3 episodes cannot appreciate something like that.
Anyway, enjoy the finale.

Wasn't that cardboard cut-out standee of Sil used in an episode a few seasons ago... I remember Junior keeping it for some reason... I thought it was being thrown away and Junior retrieved it... or something along those lines.

But if you're going to watch the finale, please do; I hope you enjoy it, and maybe it might even inspire you to go back to the beginning. Seriously, I think I was just in shock that you found the first season too slow; I don't know of anyone who doesn't think the first season was the show's best.

It's not Uncle Junior or Livia's house. I watched all the seasons back to back before Season Six Part 2 began, and that wasn't either Junior or Livia's kitchen. It probably was just a place the NJ crew had for situations like this, or it could be one of the houses that Tony bought off in the ghetto and had the crack heads scared off.

I just read this great letter at Salon.com where the writer talked about how, for them, thw whole season has come together with the realization that the DiMeo crime family really is nothing more than a "glorified crew." For five seasons we saw Tony's organization through his eyes and the eyes of his associates, and to them they were bigtime. Now, with a new boss in New York, we see things through his eyes, and in reality, Tony and his crew are small time, a bug that New York can squash if they start causing too much trouble.

Having just watch the previous 3 seasons recently and doing a direct compare, it's Junior's house. Definitely. The Kitchen is identical. I thought the cardboard cutout was a gag from a previous season, but couldn't find it.
