I want to see Hiro chasing around young Sylar, who desperately tries to escape on his tricycle.

That's right: Molly's uber-boogeyman is...Mr. Muggles! You heard it here first.

This is what I'm thinking. Maybe the person Molly couldn't find was hiding out down in the sewers - maybe he's even the cockroach (like an Animagus from Harry Potter - specifically Rita Skeeter). He comes up and pulls Sylar down to heal him and take him under his wing. So next season we get a nice scene ending the November sweeps episodes with Sylar saying, "Hello, Peter."

Well I hope Peter is dead, I won't watch next season if that actor is still in the show. Also isn't next season suppossed to be mainly new characters?

Kind of like when they spent a year hyping the Hogan vs. Sting match for StarCade '97 and it ended with a botched movie in the days of WCW. Don't expect many people to remember that around here.

Wow, a lot hate for the finale. A few thoughts:

1. Has it been established that Peter can use more than one power at a time? I also wondered why he just didn't fly off, when Nathan showed up. In the future episode, when we see him save Hiro and Ando, he runs in and makes himself visible, he uses TK, and then stops time. If he were able to control more than one power at a time, wouldn't it have made more sense to just show up invisible and THEN stop time? My guess is he can only control one power at a time.

2. You had to know that Sylar wasn't going to die. How many times has a great villan been given a reprieve?

3. I also wondered why not just get someone to jam something in Peter's brain and then take it out later, thereby stopping him from exploding, but we are taking about a guy going nuclear. No sure thing I would guess.

The great summer debate: which Monday finale sucked more ass.

Even though this was laughably bad ("You saved the cheerleader, so we could save the world!" ), I'm happy that the fans didn't get dicked over by some lame cliffhanger. Certainly, they set up next season, but they essentially did everything they promised to do, so at least there's that.

My guess is that they were wrong in their assumptions and it wasn't Sylar
who tried to abduct her from the police station (why would he have needed to
when he's killed everyone else before and after on the spot) in one of the early
episodes, but rather this new guy. She's seen him before and that's why she's
frightened of him now.

I think they dropped this idea. I recall reading something where Tim Kring said maybe he shouldn't completely separate all of the chapters.

Really average finale, completely predictable. Kind of upset that Sylar got away after such a weak fight, I really don't like the actor who plays the part, just seems to me that the role is far too cheesy.

Wasn't a big fan of the "cliffhanger." Hiro is my favorite character on the show, but the Kensei stuff has failed to hold my interest.

Unless the other guy just happens to have telekinesis, it was definitely Sylar.

Question: when Peter talked to Shaft from beyond the grave, did he absorb the power to be a sex machine to all the chicks?

The impression that I got from Eonline's spoiler chick was that the black thing in the sky that is blocking out the sun in Japan will be Peter and Nathan, and they will land in the water and meet up with Hiro again. Then they will all have to try to time travel Back To The Future and work on next year's Big Bad.

Wait, what? Do you mean "Volumes" or "Chapters"? Each episode is a chapter and each season is a volume.

And why was Hiro falling after his jump back? Is that the end of his fall from when Sylar threw him? Just odd considering space and time, shouldn't he have been on the ground? I mean we have seen him leave high places like the painting studio and arrive on sold sea-level ground.

Well, count me in the "underwhelmed" group as well. It's only because most of the season was chock full of great moments and surprise twists, I thought the finale would be more mind blowing. I was definitely let down by the Sylar/Peter fight. With all the foreshadowing and buildup, I expected a knock down/drag out.

Overall, I was pleased with the season as a whole. I felt that it was all carried out with precision and was well thought out. At times it felt like the had scripted the entire season before they even started. Looking forward to next season.

I'm just glad it's over so I don't have to watch it any more. The final episode was better than the previous two episodes.

I promised myself if after watching the final episode I said "D'oh!" I wouldn't watch next season. So, I'm done!

That was a missed opportunity. Since the vision that she created for Nikki went away the image of her body should have went away as well and showed her true form.

Isn't Peter's power governed by his ability to think about a person with the power? It's probably hard for him to think about multiple people with any success. Somehow, he got Ted in his head and started glowing and then couldn't stop thinking about Ted making him glow in a vicious circle. That's at least one way he couldn't fly away.

My guess is they were afraid that if they didn't have the same actress playing her, all of us small-brained viewers would have been confused.

Wow, I really don't get the hate for this show. it showed Peter a few months(I think) ago as a quiet polite guy. To expect him to become this badass power weilding guy overnight would have been much worse than what they did in this episode.
I know people like to rip things but everyone asking why didn't he just fly away, how about because he could not control the fact he was exploding from the inside out, and that was taking a lot out of him.
Oh a plot hole, why didn't Hiro go back in time and kill Sylar earlier. Shit why have a show at all then? Is it a plot hole sure but unless you wanted this season to be fewer than two episodes you can't have Hiro do that.
It was kind of a rushed toned down finale but I an glad they didn't turn it into a Satuday morning cartoon just to satsify people that don't understand the true nature of the characters they have shaped all season...

Yeah, you're right. Originally it seemed like they wanted each volume to be (somewhat) drastically different, with only a few characters making the crossover to volume two.

Unless they drastically cut back on the screen time of the regulars from this season, the finale makes it seem like most of them will be back.

Where was the Haitian in all of this? I haven't seen him around for a while, and considering he was one of the more intriguing characters from the beginning of the season I would have liked to see him play a bigger role towards the end.

Actually that is a great analogy for how disappointing the finale was.

Call me kookie, but I just realized that the mark on the banner the samuri guy was holding was the same as the tattoo on Nikki/Jessica.

D'oh.
