Atlantis- I like Richard Kind but I agree he was wearing out his welcome by the end of his first episode, no need for a second one, and no definitely not less than half a season later.
SG1- I don't recall too much of this episode, but what I do recall isn't good. First of all, its yet another alternate realty episode, which if I recall correctly, it starts with the depressing notion of a version of Sam dying. And then there's the politics. The real shame is SG-1 has had this whole Ori/Jihadists groundwork for a while and they've really not made much use of it, other than a few obvious freedom of religion statements. Then in one episode they just kind of bulldoze into the politics of it in a really heavy handed way. Do you think the producers were getting sick of hearing how great the politics of BSG were?

SGA = They had that one guy from that one episodes that made every one like him back. That episode was a bore and so was this one. Could barely keep my eyes open.
SG1 - I thought it was fine. Politics didn't bother me but the the alternate reality do-over sure did. It is a shame that the show is not showing much of the Ori guys esp since they still have Dr. Jackson prisoner. But they should come back to that story next week.
And about Sam possibly replacing Weir at Atlantis, wasn't Rodney leaving next year?

The interaction between Sheppard and Rodney is sometimes the single greatest part of an episode.

SG1 - Good, but felt very rushed. At the end of the ep I'm actually less inclinded to trust Daniel than at the beginning. I think they could have done more with Valla's bait/Ori takeover bit. Also I felt like it was an "oopps, guess we're gonna have to clean that up." at the end. No real impending doom or whatnot.
SGA - I really thought they were just gonna have Rodney breakthrough and ascend at the end. Glad they didn't. Hope they follow through with some of his breakthroughs on his own personality, especially since he seems to remember all of the science pieces. Probably not though. I thought Shephard was still radiculiously mad at him for royally screwing something up a while back. Guess not.
I'm increasingly leaning towards the belief that both of these shows have been nutured and there is no real sense of danger that they both once had. Did the writing staffs get turned over for each? Are they simply stretched too thin? Makes you think SG1 is time to leave, but then you get a scenes between Jack and Daniel and it just puts a huge smile on your face. "So, this is new."

SG1 = It did seem rushed but I liked it ok. I agree that the show has lost any sense of danger.
SGA = I really liked this one. I might just be a Rodney fan. I liked the ending best where he is doing something good fore everyone. The only problem is we haven't seen any vampires in a long time. Are they just hanging out until one pops up? Its like they forgot they are at war.

I'm a Rodney fan, so I liked this ep. He's just fun to watch how he's smart but clueless. And his banter with Sheppard is always great. I loved how he asked ronin about the scars then healed him. Nice to see him do something good for others for a change (even if it was just to ascend possibly).

SG1 = a fun little episode. SG1 gets mistaken for rebels and some guy goes die hard. I wonder if they did the die hard thing because of the movie.
SGA = Bunch of people hide in the transporter beam ala star trek. A couple of guys wake up to free everyone else but they learn some bad stuff went down. One goes nuts and tries to kill everybody. I liked this episode but found it odd. They were way to willing to give up on the people.

Nobody mentioned the episodes from the week before:
SG-1: High school reunion focus as well as bounty hunters. I'm glad that Lucian Alliance guy is gone. I found him annoying. Overall it was fun, especially the Cam goes home part. Valla always good for a laugh, although I'd like to see more of her serious side and have her develop some more.
SG-A: Almost forgot the plot! War games...interesting concept, poor execution. Elizabeth is one of the best, if not the best negoitator on earth and she lets them get up and walk out after 2 minutes? Way to go leader! And then Rodney and Sheapherd yelling at each other the entire time without addressing the issue?...not in character for either of them.
----
SG-1: Fun episode and original. Very independant while still trying to deal with the larger storyline! Small parts sometimes, but Tealc still brings the funny. Randomly walks by the back of the scene, "Die Hard.", and then walks off.
Liked Daniel's conversations with the "hostages" as well as the negotiators. Suppose we'll be getting to some heavy Ori stories soon as well.
SG-A: Fairly good. Probably good the entire episode didn't focus on that one guys' grief. Between him and the leader they were a rather weak people - especially since they decided to nuke themselves. Wrong or right an odd tactic. Btw, are the Wraith gone? Is there even an overall mission/arc for the season this year? I feel like the show is just wandering all over the place and meanwhile the character development continues to get the back seat. Speaking of which, Ronin is growing on me, which is odd since I found him so wooden and 1 dimensional to begin with.

So is there a 3rd SG series planned? They keep having these filler episodes and they haven't seemed to make any progress against the Ori threat to our galaxy. Maybe they dealt with the acended Ori in another galaxy but a bunch more ships & Priors are free in ours. I think SG-1 could easily go for a year or 2 more to wrap up the Ori stuff (& have tons of filler episodes along the way).

I guess I might have gotten the names mixed up so you probably don't have to worry about Rodney.
Re: SG-1, quite predictable, but it was, at least, one of the more violent fights that I can remember.

SGA: If they had watched heroes they would know how to stop an exploding man. Pretty damn good episodes. I think it was one of best episodes of the series. I really liked how they had more background characters going about their business. They should do more of that. And that death scene and build up to it was great. If you got to die might as well go out in bang. MikeHunt, no he didn't ascend. He just done died.
SG1: Someone goes and blows up your town, you got some payback due you. But the good old US of A don't want to dish out the pain. Well what's a god fearing jaffa suppose to do? I'll tell you what he does, he kics ass and chews bubble gum. And he's all out of gum.

SGA: I really liked this episode, but I hated seeing the doc go. I think the ending was symbolic of Rodney saying goodbye in his head, nothing more than that.
SG1: Not been a regular watcher since RDA left, but seeing Tealc kicking ass was awesome.

Carson's death = someone's been watching "Grey's Anatomy".
Supposedly, in all of the hulabaloo during next year's SGA, Carson will come back - and one of the producers has said it's not an alternate universe version or a flashback. Perhaps he does ascend and come back?

Well I hope he comes back, he's one of the few likeable characters on that show and heck this episode made me like him more. Great episode but didn't like him dying. One of the very few SGA episodes that's been more than Ok to me. SG-1 was a fun episode. They are doing a lot of stand-alone episodes making it feel like the show isn't ending, but I guess they were all probably filmed before they knew it was cancelled.
