SGA's episode tonight sounds like a rip-off of "Normal Again", from Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 6.
After being poisoned by a demon, Buffy comes to believe that she is confined to a mental hospital,
, her parents are still together, and that her life as a Slayer has all been an hallucination for the past six years.
Deciding that she prefers this "normal" life with her parents, Buffy attempts to destroy the things that tether her to the "fantasy" life of the Slayer: her friends.

Okay. I think I just watched what was the worst SG-1 episode. That's really saying something for SG-1.
Sometimes, I just wonder how this show just keeps going.
Not even going to bother watching SGA tonight although SGA was pretty good last week.

I could certainly see why somebody would consider SG-1 to be an awful episode with in-reference after in-reference. I enjoyed it for what it was: tongue-in-cheek fun. That said, a lot of them went on for waaaay too long.
The Farscape one was awesome though. "more obscure"

Did find the ending a bit sentimental, although I found it amusing they threw in the Michael Shanks departure into it. When the "furlings" showed up in the beginning during the recap, for a second I wondered "Did I miss that episode?" Come on, who doesn't like exploding ewoks?

- additions of Ben Browder & Claudia Black have added a nice energy to the team
- the Ori metaplot has been rather interesting and has been building since last season.
- SG has always been pretty good with the long term plotlines, and isn't afraid to reference past episodes, lending a feel of continuity through the series over the years

I enjoyed it as a thoroughly silly show for the fans.
The only segment I thought went on too long was the puppet version. They should have really tightened that up. From what I've read those marionettes can be very expensive produce, so they probably had to extend it to be able to afford it at all. The "cast interviews" may have been a little to long as well, but I enjoyed a couple of references like 'daniel' saying "thanks to the campaign they let me come back, uh, I mean they wanted me back and I happened to be available." and the reference to Richard Dean Anderson phoning it in the last couple of seasons.
I thought the same thing, despite the fact that I recently watched seasons 1-8 on DVD.
riley_dude, I don't think there were any major reused clips, even the flashback to the time O'Neill became invisible was new. Although I'm surprised they didn't try that in seasons 7-8.

The only one I really thought was funny was the puppet sequence, not because of the dialogue, but because of the way the puppets moved. I was cracking up at the puppets banging on the keyboards mindlessly and Daniel scribbling all over everything.
I watched part of SGA, let out an audible "ugh," and turned it off.

I thought it was funny overall, it just seemed like they wanted to do something silly for their 200th episode and just have fun with it all. I kinda liked Tealc PI. And since I didn't watch the show back in it's first few years, at first I thought the ewok one was one I missed
But it looks like the action is gonna pick up again next week.

Fans have wanted Carter and O'Neil to get together for years. Thus the wedding scene. I enjoyed the entire thing. Loved all the small in jokes, the spoof parts, etc.. Very funny episode

Was a funny SG-1 episode, nice that they can take a whole episode and work it for the fans. Sure it didn't have everything every fan would like, but it had something for everyone.
What was with all the swearing (covered up by black holes) at the end tho..that was odd.

The whole thing felt like Stargate trying very hard to be as clever as Farscape.
They didn't pull it off.
(And the FS "homage" felt like more of an insult.)

Not sure how a standalone parody episode = "trying hard to be as clever as Farscape". I liked Farscape alot, but I'm not sure where the comparison comes from - did you see Farscape as a skit show that parodied the sci-fi genre?
As for the Farscape homage, SG-1 has two of the main principles from that show: they never made reference to it beforehand, so it's not so surprising that they would make a reference in a parody episode like this. (hell, they made a "MacGuyver" reference in the first episode of SG-1)

I actually think SG-1 has been great this season and haven't liked Atlantis too much. I just kept Atlantis on this week in the background while I was doing other things. Just not really into the Wraith thing and only like 2-3 characters.
