That actually sounds like a cool idea. I haven't watched since Season 2, but I'd tune in for that. I think more TV shows could benefit from taking serious chances that big (like Felicity's time travel conceit in its final season)

Ouch. Those are CW-level numbers. Those shows aren't long for this world.

Yeah, when the numbers first came out for their premieres, I thought 20 Good Years would get canned but 30 Rock might have a chance, but that retention from last week... ouch.

I think it sounds like a great idea as well, especially since the show has been incredibly lucky to get four years, and the chances of it getting an additional four years are just so minute that starting college and ending the series when they are freshmen/sophomore (like 'dawson's creek') would just make things seem unfinished. But with his idea it would be more or less a year long series finale...

It's always interesting to see CSI and Grey's Anatomy battle it out every Thursday. I think last week, CSI had more viewers, and Grey's the week before that.

Last night's Studio 60 numbers:

6.3/10 7.70 million viewers 3.1/8 in the 18-49 demo.

That means a drop of 5% in the overnights compared to last week, 1% drop in viewers, and no change in the 18-49 demo. The drops have been smaller and smaller each week so now I think we're getting to the point where the show isn't going to draw in that many new viewers.

The re-run of America's Next Top Model didn't fare much better than "Runaway". I wish the CW would have just aired the remaining episodes. I liked that show.

Have to disagree here, as I find "Brian" absolutely engaging. One of my favorites.

Good to see the numbers for Veronica Mars going up. Looks like they added about 200,000 viewers last week and another 100,000 last night. Not amazing, but 100,000 CW viewers is a lot more significant than it may seem.

The numbers for Monday at 10 were down for all 3 shows. (With Brian losing over 2 million viewers vs. last week.) Did everyone just decide to read a book?

VM had a drop-off after the season premiere but has gained viewers each episode after that, finally topping its season premiere viewers this week. It also had its highest retention of the GG audience with over 70%. Not great but improving!

If they renewed the Game, they have to renew this show for crying out loud, this show feels primed to fly right now.

Rob Thomas said at the beginning of the year if they retained over two-thirds of GG's audience that there would be nothing to worry about... he went on to say if the show only got 50% of GG's audience it would be gone before thanksgiving, and if it improved on GG's audience a statue of Kristin Bell would be errected in the lobby of the CW headquarters...

Veronica Mars gaining viewers.

Wednesday comment:

Lost lost in # of Households again last night, but had more overall viewers than Criminal Minds, plus had a lot more in the key demo.

Seems a lot of older singles are loving the CM though.
