Yes they are pretty new to market,
That is actually a Whirlpool Duet pair. I kept my mouth shut in the premier thread when everyone was calling them neptunes, but now that the show brought them up again, I figure I'll set the record straight.

I don't know if this has been brought up, but I don't think it was not Charlie who started the fire. They made a point to show the persons hands, and their left hand did not have the tape with writing on it that Charlie has on all his fingers.

Didn't Charlie tell Jack that he started the fire? I'm not sure why he'd lie, unless he was covering for an accomplice. Didn't it show some fairly unique rings on the hands that started the fire? I thought they were Charlie's usual rings, but I could be wrong.

i don't think charlie has had the tape on his fingers (aside from his piano dream last night) for at least a few episodes.

i was wondering this as well.

There was one ring on the right hand, but the left seemed to be empty of any rings/tape. Earlier in the show they did a close up of his hands when he was playing the piano by the beach and there was much more there.

Agreed. I thought last nights episode was the weakest of Lost, but still better than most other stuff.

Though I have enjoyed the past 3 or 4 eps of Invasion more than the past few of Lost, which I never thought would happen as good as lost was last year and early this year, and as slow as Invasion was the first 8 or so eps.

I've never understood this line of thinking. You are giving up because you hate the direction but are going to give Disney your money later for the DVDs when you could be watching it for free now?

I don't think Libby is a tallie. Did she say he stepped on his foot ON the plane? It could have been in the airport. Or he could have done it on the way to the restroom on the plane. Or a writer goof.

I think those people who hated the Anna Lucia/Jack conversation have never heard actual people speak in real life, and only know TV dialog.

That was probably the most realistic exchange AL and Jack had yet.

I am not convinced that Libby is not an Other yet. Just in a general conversation, someone could have told her that Hurley was the last one on the plane, and he was out of breath, sweaty, etc. Stepping on someone's foot is not something that he would probably likely remember after the traumatic experience he went through (or because it never happened in the first place) Or she could be part of the masterminds behind this "experiment" (in my thoughts, anyway).

As for knowing her from somewhere, as mentioned, she could have been at the psych hospital as a therapist. If this was the case, and she was an Other, the whole island could be a part of a grand experiment that would see if people's psychological problems can get solved (or forgotten about) if they were put in a life threatening situation. So far, every character that we have found out more about has had horrible things happen in their pasts that could have made them seek out therapy.

I agree. That's about as real as it gets. In fact, that exchange (and Sawyer talking to Hurley) were the only bright spots of a painfully boring episode.

Or are older. Or live in rural areas.

The "hitting that" expression isn't something older people, especially those not exposed to the hip hop culture, are likely to be very familiar with.

It didn't bother me at all, but I can see how others would have been thrown off buy it.

Expecting continuity in personality IS a fair expectation; but look at a show like Survivor, people change quickly when things start to get desperate. On Survivor, they know they are going home when its done. On LOST, they have no idea what will happen to them. They know they are not being rescued; so they are trying to cope. Imagine your day without your PC, Ipod, connection to family, Xbox, TV, etc. Try to put yourself in the mindset that the characters are being set up for. They are all going stir crazy if nothing else.
I see what you're saying and it wouldn't bother me as much in other characters, but from what we know of Locke, he's basically been getting off on the whole experience. I doubt he'd even want to be rescued at this point. Given that he's not exactly cracking up, it seemed like really poor writing to have him be such a dick to Charlie before the whole fire/baby snatching thing. Seems to me he would've stopped, listened to what he had to say and tried to figure out if it had anything to do with the island.

I wasn't talking about the end, but about throughout the episode. Given Hurley's tendency for blabbing, I'm guessing everyone knew about the waking-up-with-the-baby thing almost as soon as it happened. Even if they didn't, a whole lot of people saw when he went to talk to Claire and Kate shoved him away. Seemed to me like somebody would've approached him to see if he was ok and what was going on.

My off-the-wall theory is that she's a gold-digger who either 1) was stalking Hurley, had followed him to Australia and 'accidently' bumped into him a couple times or 2) after the crash, just happened to recognize him from tv and is trying to get in good with him for if/when they're rescued. Yeah, there's not any real evidence to back this up and it probably won't be the case, but it's another reason she might lie to him.

I agree that the AL/Jack interaction sounded real, and was funny.

How many statues did Locke put in the cabinet? It should have been 5 but I forgot to check when he put them in there and I didn't tape the show.

Charlie had six statues and smashed one, leaving five.

I thought I saw six statutes even after he took out the one he ended up breaking.
