Dawson's Creek 4/30/03

Oh man oh man, Pacey breaks the bad news to Dawson, and Dawson unloads on him. At least Joey was there to keep some semblance of the "group" together at this trying time.

I'm guessing Joey will find a way to get Dawson the money for his movie (Dawson did make it possible for Joey to go to Worthington by him giving the gift that A.I. Brooks left in his will).

Jack, Jen, Grams will be moving to New York City to live with Jen's mom Helen as Grams seeks cancer treatment from a nearby excellent hospital in NYC. And conveniently, CJ is now going to school in NYC as well. Hmm...

Audrey and Joey say their goodbyes (with Jack "Osborne" in attendance.

Audrey got to say goodbye to Pacey as well. Had to wonder what documents/papers Pacey was looking at while at the bar.

Pacey was probably looking at unemployment paperwork, hell if your going to get fired, mooch off the state for a while.

Im not a huge fan of the show, but this season Ive been watching and I thought the scene where Jack was invited to NY to live with "the girls" was touching. From what Ive seen Jack has not had the most pleasent time on the show, it was fitting that he got rewarded.

Anyone else notice in the previews that both Pacey and Dawson are kissing the bride (Joey)? Dollars to donuts says those are dream sequences.

Actually, I think Pacey is making a last ditch effort when kissing Joey, but I hope the shot of Dawson and Joey getting hitched is how they end the show (well, there is the whole business of one of the core four dying on the show 5 year hence...yawn).

Then again, the shot of Dawson and Joey could just be Dawson being the guy who gives Joey away (because her deadbeat dad is still AWOL or imprisoned).

I figured it was just Dawson giving Joey away during Joey and Pacey's wedding. So I guess Dawson and Pacey will come to terms w/ their friendship and move on in life.

I thought last night's ep was good, w/ the exception of Jack Osbourne - why exactly did he need to be thrown in there?

The Jen, Jack and Grams storyline was nice and convenient, but it was well done. Nice to Jack invited to New York w/ the ladies. But Jen still has to go back to Capeside, I think (I thought the trailer said all four go back or am I mistaken?).

So Who's going to die? I put my money on Miss Jen Lindley.

From what I understand Joey will have a boyfriend in the finale that just has been cast. My money is on Pacey or Jen being on the receving end of this "death" threat.

I'm pretty convinced one of the core four will die, and my previous guess of Jen hasn't wavered.

In the clip, Pacey had stitches over his right eye as he was putting the moves on Joey. hmm...

Oooo...the suspense!!!!

What was the upcoming scene with Dawson in bed with Joey?!? Will it be Dawson or Pacey?

I, for one, will be sad when the show reaches the end.
I hope they release more seasons on DVD....We shall see....

Actually, I think the show has more than run its course, but after watching all the shows on TBS this April, the characters and all of their quirks and foibles still manage to pull me into their little dramas. They just feel more human to me than most of the other teen dramas around now and in the past.

I still find it funny that Dawson can be profound in one instance and then patently insensitive in the next instance.

Weren't Pacey & Joey kissing while both in black? My memory of the preview may be fuzzy, but may be a funeral.

well I can spoil some things if anyone wants.

Some spoilers but not all that I know:
Spoiler:
Jen is the one that dies, I'm 100% sure. It's 5 years in the future in the last episode, she has a kid. It's not a sudden death, she was/is sick. So 1/2 the finale is everyone finding out about Jen getting sick and saying goodbye.

Yeah Joey was living in NYC (in the future) as a publisher/editor and has a boyfriend. But this doesn't stop the triangle from development. It's just one of many twists through the finale.

Dawson works on a tv show called "The Creek".

I'm about 70% sure (I'll check again) that the Dawson/Joey wedding thing is a dream sequence or something to that effect with Dawson trying to figure how things "should end".

Pacey is a bartender/owner.

Pacey goes around town trying to get area business owners in investing in Dawson's movie, to try and get his money back this way.

Jack (and Doug, Pacey's brother) are going to take care of Jen's kid after she dies.

More spoilers:

About the "wedding":
Spoiler:
I "think" the ONLY wedding in the Finale is Gale (Dawson's mom), this is the backdrop and an excuse to get everyone together in Capeside at the time

Next episode w/Joey:
Spoiler:
She mends fences for Dawson and Pacey, then decides to go to Paris after all (I think)

Finale w/Joey's boyfriend and Dawson's job:
Spoiler:
episode starts with Joey with boyfriend in NYC watching Dawson's tv show "The Creek" and arguing over who the girl should choose (the girl Sam - which is Joey), Dawson's character is Colby, and Pacey is "Petey". Anyway they say the classic lines, but now referring to tv characters instead of themselves like "she must choose Colby he's the soulmate" or "But Petey is the brooding type"

Refer to my above post for Jen spoilers.

More spoilers about leading up to the "ending":
Spoiler:
Everyone in Capeside hangs out. Then Jen collapses.
They go through all of that. Then you get teased alot about the Dawson-Joey-Pacey triangle. Dawson is trying to decide on an "ending" to his show "The Creek"

Spoiler about THE ENDING:
Spoiler:
Well you are watching Dawson's show "The Creek", and it ends with COLBY and SAM together (Dawson and Joey).
Then it pans out from the tv, to Joey and PACEY sitting on the couch watching the show together (and they are together).
Joey wipes away a tear, Pacey teases her, and they both liked the show alot and call Dawson together to congradulate him.
And I guess Dawson finally got to meet Speilberg as well.

'Joey Potter and Capeside Redemption'
Spoiler:
When Dawson gives up his dream of making his film, a strong-minded Joey rallies the old group back to Capeside to help Dawson begin production. Meanwhile, an unemployed and depressed Pacey won't be part of Joey's plan but becomes inspired to make sure Dawson has the financial support he needs to finish his film. Once production is up and running, Jen, Jack and Grams must say their goodbyes and leave for New York, and after her covert plan to reconcile Dawson and Pacey, Joey feels she is now is free to pursue her dream of traveling to Paris.

Good episode tonight.

All Good Things; Must Come to an End (2 HOUR SERIES FINALE)
Spoiler:
Five years have passed and everyone is reunited in Capeside for a special wedding, but the happy reunion is cut short after the group learns that one of their own has been harboring a heartbreaking secret. Since they were last together, Dawson has been living in Los Angeles producing his autobiographical television series 'The Creek,' but has never forgotten the love of his life; Joey is a successful book editor living in New York with her boyfriend (guest star Jeremy Sisto, "Six Feet Under") but comes home to realize she still loves her childhood sweethearts; Pacey is the owner of the new Ice House and still carries a torch for Joey, although he continues his pattern of getting into trouble with older women, including his newest conquest (guest star Virginia Madsen); Jen is a single mom living with Grams and managing an art gallery in Soho; and Jack is a teacher at Capeside High and has fallen in love with a secretly gay man.

Best line EVER on DC:

"Who's Eve?"

"Long story... ambiguous ending."

I LOVE when they symbolically wink at us and admit they screwed up!

Why combine 2 episodes into one thread?

Anyhoo, enjoyed tonight's episode very much, and Joey finally gets to France! (the location shots/blue screen weren't all that convincing, though).

Having Todd and Audrey hook up was inspired.

Having the gang pitch in to help with Dawson's movie was a nice way to take us back to the beginning while launching the characters forward as well. Glad that they mentioned Andie in a good light along with the rest of the gang.

Having caught up with all 6 seasons of DC (on TBS this past month), yes, the wink at those who seen all the shows was a nice tip of the cap to the fans.

Can't believe they even brought in that Livingstone girl for Pacey...

I thought it was a good semi-ender for the series. Since next weeks 2 hours is a little different since its 5 years down the road and the original creator is bringing his own spin to it.

It just struck me as odd that Joey seems to be the main focal character ending the series with her narration and closure. Not that I mind, but isnt the show DAWSON'S CREEK????

i loved the scene is when they were making the movie and wrapped up the filming with the opening bedroom scene from the first epsiode.

cant wait for next week

I need a quick refresher on who she was. She's the only "old" reference I didn't quite catch...

I liked it. Pacey once again proves that he IS the man. He's always been my favorite character in the bunch. I wonder how they'll write in
Spoiler:
Andie's return
next week.

Next week:

MOST of the show is 5 yrs in the future.

The last scene or two fast forwards "just a bit more".

If anyone wants me to sum up the finale w/spoilers just let me know.

The best part of last night's show was the return of Todd - he was such a great character this season. I'm sorry if some don't agree, but he brings much needed energy and humor to the show. And I actually didn't mind Audrey last night - she didn't get on my nerves and her ending up w/ Todd was truly fitting.

Good moments between Pacey, Dawson and Joey. Pacey was almost in top form last night.

Is it me or is Pacey's brother, Doug, a neat/clean freak? Are they alluding to something?

The Todd episodes are currently airing on the TBS morning versions of Dawson's Creek -- today, they had the Christmas dinner where Audrey is wasted

After watching all of the DC episodes this past month, this show transitioned to being more about Joey and her exploits in the last 3 years. Plus, while it's called "Dawson's Creek", who was the one in the boat rowing down the creek? Joey, that's who.

Plus, like all "great" stories, it's about a girl.

Sure, it's also Dawson's show, but he was such a boy scout in his high school years, so much of his character was black and white, no shades of grey. Joey has had the tougher life, and more self-doubts, more internal conflict, while possessing the academic brains of the group. Pacey is the one gifted in other ways (mostly non-scholastic), had low self-esteem problem due to his father's browbeating ways, but possesses a heart of gold.

Go ahead, I have never watched it, but I'm curious who it is they kill off...

Maybe it will end with Dawson drowning in his creek...

The one who dies is:
Spoiler:
Jenn, she is a single mom and it's a slow death from a heart condition, so there are plenty of sappy goodbyes in the finale

The teaser/promo and the scenes from the finale in the commercials are ofcourse VERY misleading.

When Joey opens that ring:
Spoiler:
it is actually from her boyfriend in NYC, not from Pacey or Dawson

The wedding sequence is twofold:
Spoiler:
One is a dream sequence of Dawson's, and the other are clips from Gail's wedding (Dawson's mom)

Everyone has new jobs in the 5 years in the future:
Dawson is:
Spoiler:
His independent film that you saw in this past episode was a hit, and turned into a hit tv show on the WB called "The Creek". It's ofcourse a repeat of their lives. Actually has a couple actors "acting" out the scenes that you remember from early episodes with all the cheesy lines.

Pacey:
Spoiler:
Owns the new "Ice House" bar/restraunt.

Joey:
Spoiler:
is living in NYC with her boyfriend and works as a publisher/editor

Jack:
Spoiler:
is a teacher at Capeside High

Jenn:
Spoiler:
lives with Grams in NYC, is a single mom, works at an art house, and has a heart condition

The reason they all come back to Capeside for the finale 5 years in the future is:
Spoiler:
For Gail's wedding

The major twists:
Deputy Doug:
Spoiler:
is the sheriff, and is gay and still in the closet, in a relationship with Jack, and they are going to take care of Jenn's kid together

Jenn:
Spoiler:
Ofcourse dies, but is pivotal in sparking conversations from her deathbed. Dawson films a goodbye for her to her kid

Dawson-Joey-Pacey (the big ending):
Funniest line for the show for me:
Spoiler:
well at one point Dawson ofcourse still loves Joey.
Jen is pivotal in sparking feelings from Pacey and Joey.
And at once point Pacey Joey and Dawson are together and Joey gets a call from her boyfriend in NYC and Dawson says:
"The TRIANGE has official become a Square", pretty funny.
Joey breaks up with her boyfriend over the phone.
Dawson is working on his tv show "The Creek" but is having trouble trying to end it. The characters are Sam (Joey), Colby (Dawson), and Petey (Pacey).
The first time Joey sees Pacey coming back from Capeside, "The Creek" is playing in the background.
Pacey replies "Our boy has done good", she says, that Pacey hasn't done bad himself.
There are lots of back and forth teasers from all angles and through Gail's wedding.
But.......................................There are a few Pacey/Joey kisses!

Now the ACTUAL ENDING to the finale is even MORE in the future:
Dawson-Joey-Pacey related and the ending to the show:
Spoiler:
It shows "The Creek" on tv and the ending of the show, pans out to Joey and Pacey on the couch together in THEIR HOUSE, and they share a kiss. Then they call Dawson to congratulate him on the Show Ending.
