I was surprised Samantha left after the kid tossed the stuff over her.

Sex and the City 8/24/03 Boy Interrupted

Didn't see a thread for it, so I figured I would start one. I thought tonight's episode was good for a lot of laughs, although I would like to have seen
Spoiler:
them make a bigger deal out of Samantha's getting caught with the stolen membership card

Yeah decent episode. Nice surprise to see David Duchovny pop up.

Umm, sort of okay, not bitingly funny.

"Boy, Interrupted"

Given the title of the episode, a big clue should have hit me when Carrie's high school sweetheart (Duchovny) shows up out of the blue after 20 some odd years, and what his deal was. Either way, it wasn't all that great of a cameo.

Didn't really care all that much about Stanford's subplot, or Samantha's ID theft (a membership card) in order to enjoy an exclusive pool club in Manhattan.

Not much to talk about Charlotte's new marriage (I guess they didn't go on a honeymoon yet?)

Glad to see Miranda getting some action from the neighbor.

Worst pun of the night: I want a man who will commit, not one that is committed.

I thought it was a fun episode. Am I the only one who cannot stand Anthony (Charlotte's friend)? He is too obnoxious and not funny at all.

I dunno, I think it's funny that a borderline prude like Charlotte would hang out with a loud mouth like Anthony. He hasn't been on enough to bother me yet.

It was an ok episode, but wasn't on par with the rest of the season up to this point.

I generally don't like him either but I had to laugh when he kept saying "Because you were gay" when Stanford was trying to say why he missed his high school prom...

I think its funny how Carrie & Charlotte both have gay boyfriends who can't stand each other.

My favorite line last night was when Charlotte was telling Carrie she'd end up with her high school boyfriend and Carrie explained that the reason she broke up with him was because she figured there were better guys out there. I loved the way Carrie said "Little did I know, there wasn't."

My only gripe is:

Why do these chicks have sex with their bras ON?

It only emphasizes the fact that only Kim Cattrall is willing to give up the goods.

In earlier seasons both Charlotte and Miranda had topless scenes. Only Samantha gave the full-fontal though. Carrie has always had the no-nudity clause. Perhaps Matthew would get upset.

I guess that the contracts have been updated to no-nudity for Charlotte and Miranda.

Sex and the City 9/7/03

9/7/03

You could feel the wind just leave Carrie's sails when Big went back to being his old self.

Miranda's storyline produced the most LOL moments. Poor Steve (though his new girlfriend isn't hard on the eyes either).

Sam's storyline ended up sort of sweet.

Will Charlotte's visit to Dr. Mao bring us the first SatC baby?

Next week is the finale for the summer.

Good episode. I wonder if Carrie will finally get over Big? I have a feeling Miranda and Steve will get back together. Charlotte reminded me of something out of "Hellraiser" with the acupuncture needles in her face .

I enjoyed seeing Blair Underwood's behind.
I loved Steve's line "I am seeing spots."

I thought this was a great episode. I loved how they handled Big's return and probably now final depature as Carrie now seems to realize he will never change. It must have been the fever that made him delirious.

Good episode last night.

I wonder if something will happen between Steve in next week's summer finale.

What do you call Brady Hobbes? Chopped liver?

I thought this episode was weak. It is clear that most of the stuff that happened was a set up for next week's episode (which will have a mini-cliffhanger feel since it is the final "summer episode" before the hiatus).

Oops, sorry, forgot about Brady. How about first baby with "legitimate" married parents?

I second that big time! I'm also kinda torn. At first I wanted Miranda and Steve to get back together but now I really like Underwood's character (and his butt) and don't want to see them break up. Oh decisions decisions.

Aside from the more tender "candy-striper" scenes between Big and Carrie, last night's episode was fairly weak, relying too heavily on slapstick and cheap physical gags for laughs.

Charlotte's acupuncture side-story felt like it came completely out of left field and Samantha's continuing issues with intimacy and a real, honest-to-god monogamous commitment are growing old.

In fact, overall, the show is really starting to show its age. There really needs to be some big events happen over this "summer finale" and the remaining 8 winter episodes later in the year.

I agree with you totally. The show is nothing like it used to be. I hope they change stuff up because if they go out singing the current tune I will be disappointed.
