Yeah I loved this show when it first came out but the last few seasons have been lacking. But last night's show rocked so hopefully it a sign of better things to come. (Of course if Alias was showing then I would have missed it so se la vie)

I thought that it was pretty good as well. I like when Hal is more of the focus instead of Malcolm.

I agree

I can't stand Malcolm

Dewey kicking the crap out of the what he thought was Reese first was hilarious.

Malcolm in the Middle 01/11/04

I really liked Hal's storyline, but the rest of the show wasn't great.

Since it hasn't aired most places yet, I will spoiler a couple of guest spots:

Spoiler:
Red from That 70s Show, and Chip from Kate & Allie. Chip was actually playing a lawyer! Wasn't he in high school a couple of weeks ago on Joan of Arcadia? Sheesh I feel old

thanks to football, I missed this and Bernie Mac since the Simpsons didn't start until 8:30 and both of my VCRs were preoccupied at 9.

hopefully I can find 'em somewhere..

Hal was great as usual.

The dinner scene was funny too. "Maybe if you'd tuck your shirt in she wouldn't be a lesbian"

the quality of this show this year has seemed to jumped a bit this season. great episode, as usual. nothing is better than Reese's tormenting of Dewey.

Are you sure? I could have sworn I saw a 'D' mouthed, not a 'C'. But I've deleted it already, so I cannot go back and check. But I have to say it was pretty bold of them to do that!

I believe someone mouthing a 'D' is easier to determine than someone mouthing a 'C' would.

Also since this is geared towards pre-teens and teens, many of them do not know that 'c*ck' is slang for penis, whereas many have heard that 'd*ck' is slang for penis!

Malcolm in the Middle 2/15/04

I think this has been a lot better the past couple weeks. I hope they bring back Hal's storyline; I thought that was hilarious.

I liked Dewey's manipulation of Reese. Boy, this vanilla ice cream sure is good!

Next week it looks like Laurie Metcalf is on. I couldn't tell who she was supposed to be from the preview.

I thought it looked like she was going to be Lois's sister.

I thought this was a great episode. Dewey's mind games with Reese were great.

The opening with the beer was hilarious

Oops...forgot about the Hal storyline, which is usually the best one of the show, as was the case in this episode.

Malcolm In The Middle 11/14/04 - victim of football

Maybe my wife, 13-yr-old daughter and I are the only ones still watching Malcolm, but this new 6:30 cst timeslot seems problematic.

Last night a football game ran long and Fox opted to join the show in progress, resulting in an understandably incomprehensible ten minute episode.

I wish Fox would move it back to a later timeslot...

Very unfortunate. This was a GREAT episode (Hal episodes always are).

What happened to Francis? He's still listed in the opening credits, but he hasn't appeared in the last two episodes.

The ten minutes I saw with Hal and the bodybuilders looked funny - aside from obviously being out of context for me.

I was wondering if the Kenneth Mars/dude ranch subplot for Francis would be returning...
