No more rabbits so far, but don't watch the rest of that episode with her. At one point Gordo is bought by a chef to be eaten. They save him though.
I too miss the hamster. I still look for it at times.

I always thought it was kind of a clever, rarely discussed gag that their last name is/was never mentioned....

IMDB says Wilkerson. Probably where Damfino got it, because as with 12thmonkey, I've been a loyal Malcolm viewer as well, and have never heard a last name.

Well, I don't think an episode of Gilligan's Island ever mentioned the Skipper by his name, but everyone agrees that his name was Jonas Grumby.
It was probably in the original script or the "bible" for the show.

Tvtome lists it as Wilkerson as well, and has this under facts of the pilot:
A scene that was script, but never filmed-Malcolm's last name is revealed as Wilkerson. Nor has it ever been revealed where the family lives

kantonburg, when that episode was shown in syndication, it was changed to missouri. its just another joke with the creators. it can't be either since they have an ocean.
it was weird taht the miliary school always had francis called cadet francis instead of his last name

Man, this show is great. Some truly funny moments with Hal and the baby.
The best part was when Hal wanted to borrow money from Reese.

This was thing first epsode I've seen of Malcolm in about a year. Still enjoyable. Hal's scenes almost always crack me up.
Although I was annoyed tonight by the same thing that made me take a break from the show. Lois. She never comes off as funny to me. She's played and written so straight that she just comes across as a malicious, rotten bitch. But not in a humorous, exagerated way. She honestly pisses me off. She deserves those rotten kids, and I picture her growing into an old very lonely woman.

Baby shuffleboard
Hal and the baby and Craig freaking out when he thought Maloclm was his boss were all good.
I liked the "No box flatenning in this area" sign in the background.

Agree 100% about Lois.. The whole family is funny except for Lois.. Even Dewey isn't bad sometimes and I usually don't like kid actors

The whole Hal storyline was hilarious - funniest of the season. Lois is too all over the place. One show she hates work and everyone in it. Then this show she is "Beans", she flirts with her co-workers, etc.
As far as I am concerned, the sole reason for watching this show is Bryan Cranston.

I do not like her that much either and agree with what most are saying. However her character needs to be there. The overbearing mother that uses torturistic punishment is part of the reason the show was so great in the begining. Last season when she was gone (and even with her back) the original concept of her character seems to be missing. Too bad Jane is ingrained as Lois.
I was holding my son during this episode and my wife threatened me when the Hal bits were on, I sheepishly looked at her and asked if she thought I would ever dream of doing such a thing with our precious son. Which she restated that she would kill me if I thought about it.

I thought this show was one of their greater episodes. I was pretty much laughing at every segment.
