Yup Malcom fans kiss your show goodbye. It is only a matter of time now.

Yeah, this cutting into shows left and right for football is getting ridiculous. My DVR doesn't account for overruns, so I end up missing half of these shows sometime, really annoying!

This has been my problem with FOX's Sunday night lineup for a while now. Not just that it cuts into shows midway, but also that it delays shows , and it does each inconsistantly. Afternoon football games never seem to get over by 7:00 EST, so why don't they just schedule their football coverage to go to 8 EST, or put some infomercials on the schedule for the 7- 8 time slots.

I know for myself, and a lot of my non football watching friends, this is why we've never watched first run episodes of King of the Hill, Futurama, Malcolm, Oliver Beene, Arrested Development, or even The Simpsons.

It's pretty stupid of them to start an episode halfway through. Why not just delay the start of their Sunday night television package.

All of us that tape Simpsons/Arrested know to set our VCRS for plenty of recording time to accomodate the games, which always run over the time slot.

Luckily being in AZ, I don't have to worry about football cutting into the lineup on Fox now that the times have changed.

Fox is stupid to schedule anything in the 7-8 time slot. the 4pm game si now a 4:15 kickoff and due to increased commercial breaks the games are never over in 3 hours. When I was a kid the 1pm game started at 1 and only went past 4 if it was OT. the 4pm game started at 4 and was over by 7. not anymore. Fox needs to realize this

No shit. What the hell were those assmonkeys at Fox thinking? They delayed the programs last week when football went long, but this week, for some stupid reason, they preempt Malcolm. Asshats.

I say fox should just move all the sports events to one of their sports nets.

now that this has been said I'll wait for the mob to come to my house to kill me.

In FOXs defense, they havent scheduled anything at 7PM this past weekend or next weekend...instead they have "FOX NFL Postgame" scheduled for that half hour. So at least I dont have to worry about seeing a 10 minute version of King of the Hill (this show was the victim last season).

Heres what gets on my nerves though. When football ends at 745, FOX joins in progress. If football were to end at 805 or anywhere in that half hour, FOX will delay (they will not join The Simpsons in progress if its a new episode). This of course rarely happens, so Im not sure why someone was complaining about shows starting late and their DVR only getting half of it...the whole reason they JIP (what an ironic acrynoym) is to keep the schedule and be done at 10PM. Youre thinking of CBS.

What they need to do is schedule a rerun of something (in fact, I believe last year they scheduled KOTH reruns at 7PM) but now schedule a rerun at 730. Whoever said infommercials...ummm, no...no one would keep watching on FOX until 8 then.

Stupid Fox.

I somehow have not given up hope, though.

I think they should pick a night for FX and make it Sunday rerun night when sports are going on to cause this.

I think every time that FOX cuts into a show on Sunday night they need to show a short freeze frame that says "You've been FOXed!" right before they do the "we now join the show currently in progress".

the worst part about this for me was that my Fox affiliate WASN'T EVEN SHOWING A LATE GAME!!!

They pre-empted the 7:00 ET program to show the end of the Packers-Vikings game. The game ended, then they showed the post-game and finally I got to see the last ten minutes of Malcolm.

I just want to know why all those muscle guys thought Hal was their general.

Can someone please explain the episode for those of us that only saw the last 10 minutes. I think we came in when Dewey was in the tree talking to the other kids and trying to get them to come down.

Why don't they just save the new Malcolm etc. episodes until January when football ends? Then they could just launch them at the same time as 24, Idol, etc.

Why don't you just post in threads about shows you watch instead of crapping here?

If I wanted to watch football highlights, I'd be watching ESPN.

Good episode tonight, especially since it was Hal driven again. Not as good as the bodybuilder one from last week, but still pretty good.
